How We Roll
On the mat, your ego gets checked fast. Skill matters way more than muscle. What we do at Art of Defense is all about smart grappling, not just brute force. If you’re after quick wins, honestly, this isn’t your spot - we’re big on patience, learning, and rolling through the grind with each other.
Our Ground Game
We focus on two things: No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu training and wrestling. In our No-Gi sessions, you’ll leave the heavy uniforms behind and get into rash guards and shorts—makes you move better and keeps the vibe raw. Position comes first, submissions after. You’ll pick up everything from basic escapes to leg lock techniques that make scrambles actually fun.
Wrestling here is about building solid ground control skills. We drill takedowns and defenses until your body just knows what to do. You get to sweat, mess up, and nail it right after.
Who Shows Up
Doesn’t matter if you’ve never stepped on the mat or if you’ve already competed. We’ve got classes for everyone—beginners, experienced grapplers, and folks aiming for tournaments. You’ll find support and hard rounds, guaranteed.
The Schedule Grind
Classes run Monday to Saturday, split between BJJ and wrestling. Consistency is huge for us—show up, put in work, and you’ll see real progress.

For kids, adults, and women - Separate batches for kids, grown-ups, and women’s self-defense. No experience needed, just show up.
Train with champs - Get your basics solid with national champs and coaches who actually care about your progress.
