Inside Our MMA Training Academy in Saket
This is where the work happens. A no-frills, AC-equipped combat space in Saket designed for fighters, not just gym-goers.
A glimpse of the atmosphere at Art of Defense. From the murals of fighting legends to our logo on the wall, every detail is designed to inspire our warriors to train hard.
The finished mural of a true warrior, Nate Diaz. This artwork embodies the grit, toughness, and never-quit attitude we cultivate in our gym.
Our training space, ready for the next session. The mats are clean, the flag is hung with pride, and the gym is waiting for the team to come in and put in the work.
The evolution of our space. This clip shows the process of our gym coming to life, from painting the murals to setting up the equipment that builds champions.
About The Academy: Our Training Ground
We ditched the mirrors and fancy decor for 30mm interlocking puzzle mats and a proper rack of strength tools. The space is a basement setup in Saket that keeps the temperature controlled, even when the rounds get heavy. We built this to be a place where you focus on the movement, not the aesthetic.
Built for the Grind
When we set up Art of Defense, we had one goal: keep the distraction to zero. You won't find rows of cardio machines gathering dust or a juice bar at the front. Instead, you get a clean, air-conditioned basement facility packed with everything you need for MMA, wrestling, and striking.
The Mat Surface
The flooring is the heart of the room—25mm to 30mm EVA interlocking puzzle mats. We chose this density specifically because it provides the right amount of cushion for takedowns without being too soft for your striking base. It is consistent, safe, and built to handle constant traffic from our morning and evening batches.
What You Will Find on the Mat
- Strength Area: We keep it functional. Think tractor tires, sledgehammers, battle ropes, and pull-up bars. This is for conditioning that actually helps your ground game and striking power.
- Striking & Grappling: We have heavy bags for your boxing and Muay Thai, and wide-open space for the No-Gi BJJ rolls and wrestling drills.
- The Vibe: We did not just paint the walls; we put up the faces that inspire us. The mural work is a reminder of the discipline and grit that defines this sport. It is raw, it is real, and it is always cleaned for the next session.
We keep it simple: just show up, tie your laces, and put in the work. Whether you are coming in for a trial class or a long-term membership, you get full access to the mats and the strength tools. No gimmicks, just combat sports.
