Getting in.
Who is mytribe for as a service provider?
mytribe is built for people who provide expert services in India, essentially the work where your taste, judgement and creativity matters like wedding planners, photographers, decorators, fitness coaches, astrologers, makeup artists, kids entertainers, designers, pet trainers. It is not a commodity services like AC repair or at-home salon because those services are already well served by platforms like Urban Company.
How do I apply?
You can apply to mytribe by sending us a WhatsApp message with your name, city what you do and a link to your work. We will respond within a day with a call. If the call goes well we will meet in person or over video walk through your portfolio and a real brief from your specialty and call your references to mytribe.
How long does the application?
The whole process takes about a week. WhatsApp messages and call within a day. The meetings will be done within 2 to 4 days, our reference calls within a week, and by the end of the week, we will let you know if you are accepted or not.
What is the acceptance rate?
1 in 10 applicants is admitted to mytribe as a Tribe-approved provider. This is what makes the badge mean something to customers.
Do I have to be in Bengaluru or Delhi NCR to work?
For now yes you have to be in Bengaluru or Delhi NCR to work with mytribe. mytribe is active in these cities. We are expanding deliberately as we build out the curation desk in each new city.

What does it cost to join?
It does not cost anything to join mytribe. There is no joining fee, no subscription, no minimum and no payment to be listed on mytribe.
What does mytribe earn on?
mytribe earns a commission on confirmed bookings. mytribe only earns when you earn so if a customer reaches you through mytribe and does not book. You owe mytribe nothing.
Do I pay extra for visibility or boosted placements?
No you do not pay extra for visibility or boosted placements on mytribe. The matching on mytribe is based on fit with the customer brief not on what any provider pays to mytribe.
How do payouts work?
Customer payment is held in escrow by mytribe. As you complete the agreed milestones for the booking your share is released to your registered bank account so you do not have to chase the final 30%.
Do I get to set my prices?
Yes you get to set your prices on mytribe. mytribe captures your real pricing ranges and packages during onboarding and custom proposals are built for each brief drawing on what you charge not what mytribe thinks you should charge.
How the work reaches you.
How does mytribe match me to customers?
When a customer brings a need to mytribe our AI talks with them to understand what they actually want often helping them shape and clarify the brief itself. Then it matches that brief against your profile on mytribe. Our curators check the match before it reaches you so you only see the enquiries that're a real fit for you.
Will I get the enquiry as ten other providers?
No you will not get the enquiry as ten other providers on mytribe. mytribe routes each enquiry to providers who are a clean fit, typically one or two providers see any given enquiry, not ten. You are not one of many sales targets on mytribe.
How fast does the work start coming in?
It depends on your category and city on mytribe. Some Tribe-approved providers see their brief within a week while others in lower demand categories take longer. mytribe is transparent about the pipeline so you will know what to expect.
Do I have to accept every brief?
No you do not have to accept every brief on mytribe. You can pass on any brief that does not fit your calendar or your interest and mytribe just asks that you respond quickly so the customer is not left waiting.
What does the proposal look like that mytribe sends to the customer?
The proposal is a custom proposal in your name with a tagline, sample work from your portfolio the inclusions for this specific brief real pricing and your availability. It is built by our AI from your profile on mytribe in mytribes voice.
Tribe-approved badge.
What does Tribe-approved mean?
It means that our curation team has met you looked at your work called your references walked through a brief from your specialty and admitted you to the top ~1 in 10 providers on mytribe. The badge from mytribe cannot be bought.
Is the badge Permanent?
No the badge is not permanent on mytribe. Around 20% of Tribe-approved providers have lost the badge after admission for quality drift, reliability issues or one badly handled job. The standard does not slip, which is what makes the badge worth having on mytribe.
Can I lose the badge?
Yes you can lose the badge on mytribe. If your work quality drops customers consistently report bad experiences or you ghost a confirmed booking you can be removed from mytribe. mytribe will tell you straight if it is heading that way and mytribe does not remove silently.

What is a curated page from the web?
For categories where mytribe does not yet have enough Tribe-approved providers our AI sometimes builds a page for a provider from their publicly available work, like their website, social profiles or portfolio. These pages are clearly labelled as mytribes estimates, not as your endorsement.
I found a page about me on mytribe. What do I do?
You can tap the "Chat with mytribe" link at the bottom of your page. You will have three options: claim it correct it or remove it. mytribe will respond promptly to your request.
How does mytribe handle removal requests?
mytribe honours removal requests promptly. Once verified your page is taken down and your details also go on mytribes AIs do-not-contact list so it does not accidentally pick you up again on a scan of the web.
Exclusivity and other rules.
Do I have to be exclusive to mytribe?
No you do not have to be exclusive to mytribe. You are free to keep your pipeline stay on other platforms and run your own bookings. mytribe is one channel among many for providers.
Once a mytribe engagement ends can I keep working with that customer
Yes you can keep working with that customer. The first engagement, the one mytribe sourced and ran is quoted, booked and run through mytribe. After it is done the customer relationship belongs to you and future bookings between the two of you are yours. mytribe does not lock customers into mytribe for life.
What if a customer ghosts the booking or cancels?
mytribe handles cancellations and ghosts as they come up. For confirmed bookings with payment in escrow mytribes team negotiates the outcome with the customer and you. You are not alone on these conversations, with mytribe.
