Yoga isn't just for adults. I create a playful space where your child can stretch, laugh, and learn through stories and games. Join our Sunday sessions in Santacruz West to help your child build strength, focus, and calm.

The joy on a parent's face when they see their child achieve a new pose is priceless. My kids' yoga classes are filled with games, laughter, and movement, creating a positive and encouraging space for them to explore what their bodies can do.

Taking our yoga practice outdoors. We had so much fun turning the park into our yoga playground, with poses inspired by slides and airplanes, and ending with a peaceful meditation session surrounded by nature.

Yoga doesn't have to be boring for kids. I incorporate fun activities like puzzles and games to make each class an engaging experience. Here we are celebrating International Yoga Day with a special trial session.

It is a joy to watch these little yogis explore their flexibility and strength. This young student is practicing a variation of a seated leg cradle, which is wonderful for opening the hips.

I love these moments of connection in my kids' yoga classes. Here, I am guiding a young student through a simple pranayama, or breathing exercise. It is amazing to see how quickly they learn to focus and calm their minds.

This young yogi is practicing Dhanurasana, or bow pose, which is excellent for strengthening the back and improving posture. In my classes, we focus on building strength and body awareness in a safe and playful way.

A young student explores Ustrasana, the camel pose, a heart-opening backbend that builds confidence and flexibility. It is so rewarding to see their happy faces as they discover new abilities each week.

Even complex poses like Bakasana, or crow pose, become accessible with practice and courage. This little yogi is building arm strength and balance, showing incredible focus.

Finding rest and joy in Ananda Balasana, or happy baby pose. This is a favorite in kids' classes as it’s playful and also gently stretches the inner groins and back spine.

We love using props to make challenging poses more fun. Here, my students are using yoga blocks to help with alignment and stability in Chakrasana, or wheel pose, turning a difficult backbend into a playful challenge.

About Kids Yoga: Playful & Mindful

These aren't silent, static classes where kids just sit still. At my Santacruz West studio, we use storytelling, games, and props to make asanas like Ustrasana (Camel Pose) or Bakasana (Crow Pose) accessible and fun. I structure these sessions to keep children actively engaged, helping them improve their posture and focus while naturally unwinding after their school week.

I offer dedicated Sunday batches for children aged 4-13, broken down by age group to ensure the activities remain relevant and fun. Whether it is using blocks to learn alignment or partner poses to build social skills, my goal is to meet each child where they are—whether they are naturally flexible or a bit stiff.

Why Choose My Kids Yoga Classes?

  • Non-Competitive Environment: We focus on self-expression and body awareness rather than perfection. There is no pressure to hold a pose if it doesn't feel right.
  • Mindfulness and Breathwork: Beyond the physical movement, I introduce simple techniques like 'Bee breathing' (Bhramari) to help kids manage school stress and improve their concentration levels.
  • Small Group Focus: By keeping class sizes manageable, I can provide enough attention to ensure safety and offer individual encouragement during tricky poses.
  • Play-Based Learning: We turn complex asanas into animals, airplanes, or nature-inspired movements to keep energy high and screen-time dependency low.

Classes are held at Balkan-ji-Bari in Santacruz West, a space designed with wooden flooring and mirrors that allow children to see and correct their own movements safely.
