About Kids Yoga: Fun & Focus
We don’t just teach poses; we teach how to practice. In every session, your child will use props like foam blocks and straps to safely learn challenging movements like headstands or backbends. This isn’t about perfect form on day one; it’s about developing the patience and consistency needed to build a healthy body and mind from a young age.
Our approach is rooted in the philosophy of khel-khel me yog (Yoga through play). We understand that for a child, a static class can be boring, so we integrate games and storytelling to teach traditional Hatha and Ashtanga moves.
Why we use props
You will see our students using foam blocks and wall support in our studio. This isn't just for show. Props allow children to safely explore advanced postures—like headstands or deep backbends—without the risk of injury. It builds confidence because they achieve the pose correctly, rather than struggling and feeling discouraged.
What the sessions cover
Beyond the physical poses, every class includes:
- Pranayama: Simple breathing techniques like Bhramari (Bee Breath) to help kids calm down after a busy school day.
