This is the feeling of our Monsoon Reset retreat. I love creating these spaces where we can disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with ourselves, surrounded by nature and a supportive community. It’s a beautiful reminder of what yoga is all about: finding balance and peace together.
A moment from our yoga retreat, guiding students through a standing sequence. It was a powerful experience to practice together in such a beautiful, open space.
More moments from our retreat. I provided hands-on adjustments in Trikonasana and led the group in Malasana, or yogi squat, fostering a sense of shared practice and connection.
During our Monsoon Reset retreat, I had the opportunity to give personalized attention, helping students deepen their inversions like Sirsasana, or headstand. It was a weekend of growth, restoration, and community.
Even on a rainy Thursday, my students show up with bright and colorful energy. This video captures our morning practice, with some students in the studio and others joining online, proving that nothing can stop us from our practice.
Workouts don't have to be boring. My group classes are designed to be dynamic and transformative. Here is a glimpse of our studio sessions, from strengthening in side plank to relaxing in restorative poses.

There is nothing better than a mindful practice to start the day. Here, my students are flowing through a Sun Salutation sequence, connecting their breath with movement.
A healthy spine is everything. In this class, we focused on backbends like Urdhva Dhanurasana, or wheel pose, to build strength and flexibility in the spine.

About Group Classes: Energy & Community
When you join our sessions at Balkan-ji-Bari, you won't just be mimicking poses. I actively use yoga blocks, straps, and wall ropes to help you find the right alignment for your specific body, so you can actually feel the stretch rather than just straining to match a shape.
Building Your Practice Together
Yoga is about the journey, not the destination. My group classes blend Hatha Yoga—which focuses on steady, static holds—with Vinyasa Flow, where we link movement with breath. This combination helps you build both strength and flexibility while giving you the space to slow down and check in with yourself.
Why the Studio Environment Matters
Practicing in our Santacruz West studio at Balkan-ji-Bari provides a dedicated space away from daily distractions. With wooden flooring, mirrors for self-correction, and full access to props like wheels and blocks, you can safely explore your limits. We keep our batches small, typically 10-15 students, which allows me to provide active physical adjustments and verbal cues. You will never feel lost in a sea of mats here.
What to Expect
- Multi-Level Guidance: Whether you are new to the mat or looking to refine your technique, I offer modifications for every pose. If you are stiff or recovering from a minor injury, we find a way to make the practice work for you.
- Holistic Focus: We go beyond the physical. Each session includes elements of pranayama (breathwork) and short periods of meditation, helping you manage stress alongside your physical workout.
- Community Support: You will be joining a group that encourages consistency over perfection. We share our challenges and celebrate the small wins, making the mat a place where you truly feel at home.
If you have been waiting for the right sign to start your wellness journey, this is it. Show up as you are, and let’s move.
