At The Shala, we’re not about chasing perfect poses or pretending yoga is easy every time. I started this place without having everything together, and trust me, most of us still don’t. What matters is you show up, breathe, and join our community - even on days you’d rather not. My hope is you’ll leave feeling lighter, not just physically but in your mind too.

What Practice Really Feels Like

Yoga isn’t all good vibes and flexibility. Some days, it’s confronting and awkward, and sometimes you just want to give up. We lean into that. It's less about flashy moves, more about getting real with yourself, working through resistance, and letting the practice do its quiet work.

Group Classes: Loads of Options

  • Mysore style yoga: Move at your own pace, but in a group. I give personal guidance, so you’re not lost or left out. It’s silent, focused, and pretty special.
  • Led Ashtanga: We flow together as a class, breathing and moving as one. Great for building rhythm and discipline.
  • Hatha Yoga: Gentle but strong - foundational postures and breath to help you settle in.
  • Flex & Flow: Evening sessions mixing Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga. Good for all levels, especially if you’re coming straight from work.
  • Yoga for Vitality: Recharge, get your energy back, and reconnect through guided flows and breath.

Our People Make The Shala

Community yoga classes are the heart here. We celebrate birthdays, run breathwork workshops, and hold space for each other’s growth. The vibe? Supportive, inspiring, and honestly, a bit quirky at times.

Yoga for beginners is a big deal to us. We offer a one-week intro Ashtanga course, so you can start awkwardly and grow confidently. No fancy gear needed, just show up.

My Story

You know, The Shala started as a leap into the unknown. Messy, unsure, but real. Our Guruji, Shri Sharath Jois, changed everything for us - not just with asana, but with laughter and humility. This place isn’t just mats and walls. It’s a home. Here, you can drop the mask, be messy, breathe, and learn from every pose. We’re not about perfect yoga. We’re about honest practice, together.

My Work

Yoga classes for everyone - We teach Traditional Ashtanga (Mysore style & Led), Hatha, and Flex & Flow yoga. All levels welcome.

Community yoga classes - More than a studio - it’s a space to heal, connect, and grow together. People make The Shala special.

Ashtanga lineage & tradition - We share Ashtanga as taught by Sharath Jois. Practice unfolds breath by breath, with deep respect.

Sound Healing & alignment workshops - We host special sessions like Sound Healing and yoga alignment workshops for deeper practice.
