Step away from the city noise and return to yourself. My retreats in the Himalayas combine traditional Sivananda yoga with the stillness of the mountains to help you reset.

The golden hour casting its glow over the rolling green hills of Palampur. This is the tranquil landscape that becomes our home and sanctuary during the mountain retreats.

Our group pausing during a walk, with the magnificent snow-capped Dhauladhar mountain range in the background. Being in the presence of such natural grandeur is a humbling and centering experience.

A glimpse into our daily silent walks, this time along a paved path through the woods. This moving meditation is a core part of the retreat, helping to calm the constant chatter of the mind.

A collage capturing the essence of our Himalayan getaway: learning partner yoga, exploring waterfalls, and receiving guidance on the path of Ashtanga Yoga. It is a holistic experience of learning, connection, and nature.

A quiet moment with a furry friend during a nature walk in the artists' village of Andretta. My retreats are about finding joy and connection in these simple, unplanned moments.

Exploring local crafts is part of the cultural immersion at our Andretta retreat. Here, a participant tries her hand at pottery, a meditative practice that grounds you in the present moment.

Learning the fundamentals is the first step to a deeper practice. Here, I guide students through the basics of Sirsasana (headstand) and other foundational asanas in the beautiful, open-air shala at Andretta.

A student demonstrates strength and balance in a handstand against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas. The clean mountain air and serene environment empower you to explore your potential.

Our yoga family gathered in the green fields of Palampur. These retreats bring together a diverse group of individuals, creating a supportive community that lasts long after the retreat ends.

A portrait of me, Arun, feeling grateful and energized by the mountain air. It is my greatest joy to share these sacred spaces and the wisdom of yoga with you.

About Himalayan Yoga Journeys

These retreats are not five-star luxury getaways, and that is by design. You will be staying in simple, clean heritage homestays where we strip away the usual distractions like television and room service to focus entirely on the practice. The schedule is intentional, with a strict digital detox policy during session hours, because I have found that to truly hear yourself, you first have to quiet the noise of your devices.
