Food is more than fuel; it is a vital part of our practice. Join me in preparing and sharing traditional Sattvic meals, where every dish is cooked with love and every act of service becomes a form of meditation.

A video showcasing the sights and sounds of my Sattvic Cooking Workshop. From the sizzling of spices to the shared laughter and prayers of gratitude, it is a celebration of mindful eating and living.

The vibrant Kerala Sadya is more than a meal; it is a celebration of community and sattvic living. We serve this traditional feast on a banana leaf, an experience of tastes, colors, and togetherness that nourishes the body and soul.

The practice of Karma Yoga, or selfless service. Here, I am serving food to participants during a community meal, an act of love and humility that is central to the yogic path.

Another angle of serving the Sadya feast. The act of serving and eating together on the floor fosters a sense of equality and community.

A bowl of freshly grated coconut, a key ingredient in many of our sattvic South Indian dishes. We use fresh, natural ingredients to create food that is both delicious and nourishing.

Participants gather around to watch a cooking demonstration. These workshops are interactive, allowing everyone to learn the techniques and principles of a yogic diet.

A vibrant beetroot stir-fry cooking in a traditional iron pan. Our recipes are simple, using minimal oil and spices to let the natural flavors of the vegetables shine.

A delicious and creamy vegetable curry, an example of the comforting and wholesome dishes we prepare. Sattvic food is designed to be easily digestible and calming for the mind.

Adding the final touches to a dish during the cooking workshop. I believe that the energy with which you cook is transferred to the food, so we always cook with love and positive intention.

About Nourish & Connect: Sattvic Meals & Karma Yoga

In my cooking workshops and retreats, we do not just eat; we learn to prepare food with conscious intention. We strip back the complexity—avoiding onions, garlic, and excessive oil—to let natural flavors shine, ensuring the meal is light on the body and calm for the mind.

The Wisdom of Sattvic Eating

True health does not come from complicated diets or calorie counting. It comes from consuming food that is pure, fresh, and easily digestible. A Sattvic diet—vegetarian, free from stimulants like caffeine, and minimal in spices—keeps the mind clear and the body energized for practice. In our workshops, we share traditional recipes that are simple to recreate at home, proving that wellness is accessible when we return to our roots.

Karma Yoga: Service as Meditation

Beyond the ingredients, there is the practice of Karma Yoga, or selfless service. Whether we are preparing a vibrant Kerala Sadya for the community or simply chopping vegetables for a retreat dinner, we do it together as a sangha. This shared labor removes the ego, teaching us to find joy in the act of giving. It transforms the kitchen into a space of equality and devotion.

What to Expect

  • Mindful Living: We bring these principles to all our retreats, from our Himalayan journeys in Palampur to our city-based resets. You will leave not just with recipes, but with a deeper understanding of how to live and eat with awareness.
