About Olympic Weightlifting
Why I Train: Real Strength, Real Life
For me, Olympic Weightlifting is less about motivation and more about showing up and putting in the work. The daily tapasya (dedicated effort) shapes you, not shortcuts. These lifts keep you honest - there is always something new to learn, and I treat training as my svadharma (personal duty). What we do in the gym is meant to help you outside the gym too.
Starting Out? I’ve Got You
Olympic lifting can look tough, but I break it down for you so it's not overwhelming. I remember being a beginner and how every movement felt alien. My goal is to make sure you learn safe form first and build up a solid base before pushing for bigger weights.
What We Focus On
- The Snatch: We get into all the details. Warm-ups, snatch technique drills, and hitting the variations like Power Snatch and Snatch Balance.
- The Clean & Jerk: We work on building strength and rhythm. Each session covers Clean and Jerk progression, with drills for technique, footwork, and safe lifting.
My Approach
- Patience matters. It took me two years to get my base right.
- I use weightlifting video feedback to help you see and fix your form.
- Programming is progressive - we use barbell complexes for strength and skill.
How You Can Train
- Group classes every Wednesday.
- Special Snatch session every Saturday morning.
- Personal coaching, in-person or online.
- Lifts are included in our daily CrossFit workouts.
Plan karo but follow bhi karo (Make a plan, but also follow it). Let’s build strength that works for you, everywhere.

6 years running, Adapt Fitness Club is more than a gym—it's my life. Staying solo, I cook all meals myself, always making sure khana tasty ho (food is tasty). Chicken-rice lunch is my old friend. Music keeps me chill, discipline keeps me going. I plan my day, mostly stick to it, and it works. Competing in Hyrox and Yoddha Race is for the thrill, not just medals. My AFC squad is family—rafting, wild times, no regrets.
