Aerial Yoga Classes for Spinal Decompression
Don't think you need to be super flexible or strong to get into an aerial hammock. We use gravity to gently decompress the spine, helping you feel lighter and stronger, one class at a time.
What if your yoga practice could make you fly? This anti-gravity pose helps de-stress your spine and builds incredible core and upper body strength.
A glimpse of different inversions from our weekend aerial classes. Each variation challenges the body in a new way, from simple hangs to more complex poses, all great for spinal health.
Ready to fly? This simple inversion is one of the first things we learn. It's a powerful way to get comfortable hanging upside down and start reaping the benefits of anti-gravity fitness.
About The Magic of Inversions & Spinal Health
In my Paschim Vihar studio, we keep aerial batches capped at 8 students for a reason. This isn't about fancy acrobatics; it’s about controlled spinal decompression using professional-grade silk hammocks. We prioritize safety with high-density floor mats and manual spotting, so even if you are a total beginner with zero flexibility, you will feel secure from your very first hang.
Why Aerial Yoga Works for Your Spine
If you spend most of your day sitting, your spine takes the hit. Aerial yoga allows you to invert, letting gravity do the hard work. By hanging upside down in a controlled, safe environment, you decompress the vertebrae and improve circulation. It’s not just relief; it’s about building core stability while you float.
Busting the 'Flexibility' Myth
Bilkul galat soch hai (That's totally wrong). You do not need to be a gymnast or a marathon runner to try this. In fact, most people who join us for their first session haven't touched their toes in years. We start with basic hangs and build up slowly. My job is to make sure you're safe, comfortable, and having fun, not to force you into a split.
What to Expect in Class
We focus on the holistic experience. We don't just jump into inversions. Every class includes:
- Spinal Warm-ups: Floor-based drills to prepare your shoulders and back.
- Grip Training: Getting comfortable with the silk.
- Assisted Inversions: I will be there to spot you, ensuring you're secure as you flip.
- Floating Savasana: Ending the session in a cocoon pose for total mental relaxation.
Kids and Adults
We run specific weekend batches. For kids, we focus on height development, focus, and posture correction using aerial drills. For adults, it's about pain relief, strength, and rediscovering what your body can do.
Yogiks Yoga
Hi, I am Madhulika. I swapped my CA career for a yoga mat because I wanted to share the 'sukun' (peace) I found. My studio in Paschim Vihar is more like a family—we don't aim for perfect poses, we aim for connection and health.
