Aerial Yoga and Spine Decompression Sessions
I learned to fly when I couldn't even walk. Aerial yoga isn't just about cool shapes; it's about giving your spine the space to breathe and your body the support it needs to heal. 🕊️
Finding balance and peace in an inverted butterfly pose during my aerial yoga certification. This posture is amazing for opening the hips and decompressing the lower back, all while being fully supported by the hammock.
This is the feeling of flying. An arabesque pose in the aerial hammock, which builds leg and core strength while creating beautiful lines. My training focuses on proper form to ensure every movement is both safe and graceful.
An inverted prayer pose, which is a fantastic way to build shoulder stability and core control. The view from my training in Rishikesh wasn't bad either.
A graceful pose captured during my aerial yoga teacher training. The silk provides support, allowing for deeper stretches and movements that might not be accessible on the mat, making it ideal for injury recovery and building confidence.
A glimpse into my Aerial Yoga Teacher Training days. This video shows a mix of dynamic flows, static holds, and the process of learning to guide others safely through different aerial yoga asanas.
My personal practice doesn't stop. Here I am working on aerial hammock flows on my terrace, focusing on transitions and inversions. Consistent practice, even at home, is key to progress and recovery.
Taking a moment to relax in a seated pose within the aerial hammock. This is a great way to start or end a session, gently stretching the hips and back while feeling secure in the silk.
A seated side stretch using the aerial silk for support. This allows for a deeper stretch along the side of the body, improving flexibility in the spine and shoulders.
I'm always a student first. Here I am studying my course materials on human anatomy while in an aerial inversion. This dedication to knowledge is what makes my teaching safe and effective for every body type.
The pure joy of hanging upside down. This simple inversion in the aerial hammock helps to decompress the spine, improve circulation, and bring a smile to your face.
About Aerial Yoga: Find Freedom in Flight
If you are coming to me with a knee or back issue, forget the intimidation of a standard gym. My sessions are about mechanics, not just movement. I use high-density 4-6 inch crash mats and continuous manual spotting during every inversion to ensure you feel 100% secure. You won't just be hanging in a silk; we will be using it to strategically traction your spine and offload the pressure from your joints, step by step.
Why I Swear by the Silk
When I broke my ACLs, I felt trapped in my own body. The aerial hammock changed that. It’s not just a prop for photos; it is a tool for gravity-assisted spinal decompression. By hanging inverted, we take the constant load off your vertebrae, which is often the biggest relief for chronic back pain and stiffness.
My Approach to Safety
I don’t play around with safety because I have been the patient before. My training is anatomy-focused.
- Rigging: I only work with professional studios using climbing-grade carabiners and daisy chains, inspected before every single session.
- Spotting: If you are new to inversions, I stay right there. I guide the silk placement on your sacrum and hips, so your spine is always supported, never strained.
- Modification: If you have a specific injury, we work around it. We don't push through pain. We adjust the height, the intensity, and the flow until it feels right for your body today.
Who Is This For?
You don’t need to be a gymnast or have any yoga experience. Whether you are recovering from an injury, desk-bound with a tight back, or just bored of the usual gym routine, this is for you. We focus on low-impact, sustainable movement that builds functional strength and core awareness.
We start slow. We build trust with the silk. And eventually, we fly. If you are in Delhi NCR and want to move without the fear of hurting yourself, let’s talk.
Deepa Chaudhary
I’m Deepa. I spent years fighting my own body after breaking both my ACLs, which is exactly why I teach the way I do. I don't care about gym perfection; I care about helping you find that sweet spot between challenge and healing, whether that's in a studio or your own living room. काम तो एक नशा है, so let’s get moving.
