Aerial Yoga for Kids in Paschim Vihar
Yoga doesn't have to be boring. Watch how kids build strength, confidence, and focus while having fun in our aerial yoga batches.
For kids, balance is key for multitasking and focus. Here, my student Chhavi performs a वृक्षासन (Vrikshasan) or tree pose on the hammock. It's a fun challenge that builds stability in both body and mind.
With so much time spent studying and on screens, kids often develop a hunchback. Poses like the Dhanurasan (bow pose) on the hammock, performed here by Bhuvi, are excellent for back bending and correcting posture.
I guide one of my young students through a pose. It's not just about fun in the air; this practice builds body awareness, emotional balance, and fearlessness from a young age.
Look at the joy and concentration on their faces. My kids' aerial yoga classes are a space where they can challenge themselves, learn a new skill, and have a great time doing it.
This is what a typical kids' class looks like. We focus on increasing flexibility, building strength, improving focus, and boosting confidence through playful and engaging aerial sequences.
Strength and focus are the two most important things for kids. Strength gives them confidence, and focus helps them maintain mental balance. Aerial yoga is a powerful way to develop both.
Here I am assisting my student Abishree with an inversion. With personalized support, kids quickly overcome their fears and learn to trust their bodies, achieving poses they never thought possible.
I believe in raising strong daughters. Instead of teaching them to please everyone, we teach them to find their voice and strength. This group of amazing girls inspires me every day.
We need strong girls, both physically and mentally. I encourage activities like aerial yoga that combine calisthenics and gymnastics to boost their confidence and show them what they are capable of.

About Fun & Fitness for Kids
The biggest misconception? That kids need to be gymnasts to start aerial yoga. It’s actually the opposite. In these weekend batches, we use the hammock as a support tool to help them fix their posture—especially the hunchback caused by heavy school bags and screen time—and build focus. They’re not just hanging around; they’re strengthening their core and learning to trust their own balance while having a blast.
Why Aerial Yoga for Kids?
Kids today deal with a lot of pressure, from schoolwork to constant multitasking. My aerial yoga sessions in Paschim Vihar act as a necessary outlet for all that energy. By using silk hammocks, we turn fitness into play, making it easier for children to engage with their physical health without it feeling like a chore.
How It Helps
- Spinal Elongation: Inversions on the hammock gently decompress the spine, countering the pressure of hunching over books or devices.
- Cognitive Focus: Inversion therapy stimulates blood flow to the brain, which helps improve concentration levels—something every parent wants for their child's studies.
- Emotional Resilience: When a child learns to do a flip or a trick like the 'Superman' pose, the confidence boost is visible. We teach them to be physically and mentally strong, which is a life skill, not just a workout.
What to Expect in Class
We keep our batches small (6 to 8 students max) because safety is non-negotiable. I personally spot every child during inversions, ensuring they feel secure enough to let go of their fears.
We follow a progressive structure:
- Warm-up: Floor-based mobility to get them ready.
- The Fun Stuff: Skill building with flips, tricks, and holds.
- Recovery: The 'Floating Savasana,' which is the kids' absolute favorite part.
If you want your child to step away from the screen and do something that builds real-world strength and focus, bring them to the studio this weekend. They’ll fly, they’ll laugh, and they’ll learn to trust themselves.
Yogiks Yoga
I'm Madhulika. I used to be a CA crunching numbers, but yoga gave me 'sukun' (peace). My studio in Paschim Vihar isn't about being perfect—it's about connection. I teach to help your kids build a strong, confident future, one flip at a time.
