Yoga for Kids in Gurugram: Fun, Focus & Friendship
Yoga isn't just for adults. At Anahata, I turn every session into a playful adventure where your child builds balance, strength, and calm through movement and storytelling.
A glimpse into the fun we have in kids' aerial yoga. From hanging like a bat to swinging like a superhero, children get to explore movement in a completely new and exciting way.
Partner yoga is a favorite among the kids. This partner boat pose helps them learn to work together, communicate, and build friendship while having a great time.
Finding their balance in Tree Pose (Vrikshasana). I guide children through classic yoga poses in a way that feels like a game, helping them develop focus and stability.
Learning to go upside down with the help of a wall. This supported handstand is a safe way for kids to build upper body strength and experience a new perspective.
Another one of my young yogis mastering her wall-supported handstand. It's amazing to watch their confidence grow as they achieve poses they didn't think were possible.
Practice makes progress. This child is working on her handstand with a split leg variation, showing how we can add creative and fun challenges as they get stronger.
About Yoga for Kids: Fun, Focus & Friendship
I keep my sessions small, with limited slots per batch, so I can personally spot each child while they experiment with wall-supported handstands or aerial hammocks. It is not about perfecting a pose, but about building coordination, confidence, and a sense of calm that helps them navigate their school weeks with a little more ease and joy.
Building Foundations Through Play
Yoga is a tool for life, and starting early helps children develop emotional regulation and body awareness. In my kids' sessions, we move beyond static stretching. We use storytelling, partner games, and Unnata® aerial hammocks to make movement engaging rather than a chore.
What your child experiences in our sessions:
- Aerial Fun: Children naturally love the hammock. It is perfect for building core strength and developing spatial awareness while they swing, flip, or simply hang out.
- Building Connection: Through partner poses like the partner boat pose or tree pose, children learn to communicate and support each other, fostering friendship and social skills.
- Mindful Movement: We incorporate concentration exercises like Trataka (candle gazing) and simple breathwork to help them find a quiet center amidst their busy routines.
- Physical Foundations: We use wall support for handstands and other inversions, ensuring they safely develop the upper body strength and confidence needed to master new challenges.
Classes are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays in my Gurugram studio. Whether your child is naturally energetic or a bit shy, this is a non-competitive, safe space for them to express themselves. They do not need to be flexible or bendy, they just need to show up ready to play.
