Online and Hybrid Hatha Yoga Classes
Whether you join from your home or visit my studio in Nagarbhavi, you receive the same traditional Hatha alignment and personal guidance to help you find your practice.
"What you are seeking is seeking you." This quote by Rumi perfectly captures the essence of our practice. In our hybrid classes, students both in-studio and online connect to this shared intention.
A beautiful moment of meditation in our hybrid class. You can see students present in the studio and others joining live on the screen, all sharing a moment of peace. Technology allows us to connect and practice together, no matter the distance.
Yoga is not just on the mat; it's in every breath you take. This is the core of my teaching in our hybrid classes, where I guide both online and offline students to connect with their breath.
Our Yoga Bimba family is growing and spreading across the globe. This map shows the different countries where my students join from online. I am so grateful to connect with yogis from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
A look at our hybrid class setup. Students in the studio practice alongside those joining online, ensuring everyone receives guidance and feels part of the same community.
About Online & Hybrid Yoga
One common worry about online yoga is whether you are performing postures correctly. In my hybrid batches, I treat the camera exactly like the studio floor. I provide real-time verbal cues for my online students, ensuring you receive the same attention to alignment and breathing as those practicing right in front of me in Nagarbhavi.
My hybrid model bridges the gap between practicing in a studio and the convenience of home. When you sign up for these sessions, you are not just watching a pre-recorded video. You are part of a live, interactive class where the energy of the studio meets the comfort of your living room.
How It Works
We maintain a simultaneous setup. Students present at the studio in Nagarbhavi practice alongside those joining via Zoom or Google Meet. This allows me to keep my teaching rooted in traditional Hatha yoga principles, focusing on systematic asana practice, pranayama, and mindful alignment using props like wooden blocks and cotton straps.
Why This Format Matters
- Real-time Guidance: I provide verbal corrections for online students so you know exactly where to shift your weight or deepen your breath.
- Consistent Practice: With fixed batches (either 6-10 AM or 5-8 PM) and 12-20 sessions per month, you get the structure required to stay consistent—the essence of Abhyasa.
- Global Tribe: We have students joining from across the globe, creating a diverse community that feels connected by a shared intention.
Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your Hatha practice, this hybrid environment ensures you get the feedback you need to stay safe and progress. You do not need a fancy setup; just a thick mat and the willingness to show up.
