Real Student Journeys and Yoga Transformations
Yoga is more than just postures on a mat. It is about the daily small wins that build into life-changing habits. Read how my students find strength and peace in their practice.
This is a powerful transformation from one of my online students in Canada. With two years of consistent yoga practice, she not only achieved her weight loss goals but also found a deeper sense of inner peace. It shows that with dedication, online classes can be just as effective.
Witnessing a student's steady progress is a teacher's greatest reward. Here, you can see Poorva confidently moving into an independent Shirsasana (Headstand). I am such a happy teacher watching her grow in her practice.
"Bend but don't break." A lovely message from a student celebrating our 10th anniversary. It is wonderful to hear that my innovative approach to classes inspires her.
Our students are part of a supportive community. Here, Soumya accepts a yoga challenge from another student to perform Karnapidasana (Ear Pressure Pose) as part of our anniversary celebrations.
I am so touched by this message from my student Sindhu, who is now in the US. She demonstrates Eka Pada Sirsasana and shares her gratitude, calling me the best guru she could have asked for. This is why I love what I do.
Progress is a beautiful thing to watch. Shreya, who was challenged by another student, practices Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff Pose) and expresses her thanks. Seeing students support each other's growth is what our community is all about.
Our yoga challenges have reached our students everywhere. Here, Rajeev accepts a challenge to perform Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) from his farm. It is wonderful to see my students connecting with yoga and nature.
Ujwala shares her journey of achieving Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) and thanks me for helping her get there. It is a joy to see my students achieve poses they once thought were impossible.
About Student Journeys & Testimonials
It is not just about nailing a challenging pose or achieving a perfect headstand. Often, my students come to me worried that they are too old, too stiff, or simply unable to balance. We prioritize correct alignment over depth, ensuring that whether you are practicing from my Nagarbhavi studio or your living room in Canada, you are moving safely. Real progress is the quiet shift from discomfort to ease, and that is what we aim for every single day.
At Yoga Bimba, I believe the true measure of a yoga practice is not how deep you go into a pose, but how consistent you are in showing up. My students range from kids in our weekend batches to seniors managing joint health, and everyone follows the same mantra: Abhyasa (practice), Arogya (health), and Ananda (bliss).
Many people come to me with specific goals—weight management, PCOS support, or recovery from injuries like sciatica or spondylitis. When we work together, whether in my Nagarbhavi studio or via Zoom, the focus remains on traditional Hatha yoga with Iyengar-style alignment. You will see students using wooden blocks, cotton straps, and wall support in our photos. These are not shortcuts; they are tools to ensure your body learns the correct form, preventing injuries and building long-term strength.
I have students joining me from Bengaluru to Canada. The physical distance does not stop us because the practice is about the breath and the intent. You might be struggling to hold a Chaturanga or nervous about attempting your first Chakrasana, but you are not doing it alone. My teaching style involves hands-on adjustments in the studio and precise verbal cues for my online community.
If you are feeling stuck in your fitness journey, remember that progress is rarely linear. Some days you will nail a tough inversion, and other days, a simple Pranayama session will be your biggest win. That is the beauty of this tribe. We celebrate the tough days just as much as the milestones.
