About Celebrating 10 Years of Yoga Bimba
A lot has changed since 2013, but our core rhythm remains the same. Whether you are joining us at our Nagarbhavi studio or logging in from across the world, our focus is always on the traditional Hatha Yoga alignment we started with. We don’t chase perfection here. We just show up, practice, and find our balance together.
A Decade of Abyasa, Arogya, and Ananda
When we opened our doors in 2013, it was with a simple goal: to share the practice that changed our lives. Starting with just three students in a small space taught us that the strength of a yoga practice lies not in the studio size, but in the consistency of the group. Under the guidance of our patron, Yogacharya Bharath Shetty, we have stayed true to traditional Hatha Yoga, focusing on proper alignment and the breath, rather than just movement.
More Than Just Poses
Over the last ten years, Yoga Bimba has evolved into a space where people come to navigate their lives through yoga.
- Traditional Alignment: We use props like wooden blocks and cotton straps to ensure safety, rooted in Iyengar-style principles.
- Inclusive Community: We have grown to support diverse needs, from prenatal care for expectant mothers to high-energy sessions for kids and supportive classes for seniors.
- Global Connection: Our hybrid model allows students from Bengaluru to Canada to join the same flow, maintaining that same 'tribe' feel regardless of location.
