Aerial Yoga Session
Equipment & Safety
- Apparatus: Individual professional-grade Aerial Silk Hammock (ceiling rigged).
- Setup: Safety floor mats placed beneath the hammock.
- Supervision: Small group ratio (typically 1:8) to ensure safe spotting during maneuvers.
Practice Scope
- Techniques: Focus on grip strength, inversions without spinal compression, and floating meditation.
- Progression: Covers beginner-friendly low-hammock options to advanced acrobatic flows.
- Skill Building: Core engagement and upper body pulling strength.
Thematic Immersion Workshop
Workshop Format
- Duration: Single intensive session lasting 2 to 3 hours.
- Themes: Rotating topics including Emotional Release (Hips), Vibrational Therapy (Sound Healing), or Inversion Mechanics.
- Instruction: Led by specialized guest experts or senior studio faculty.

- Props: Use of Tibetan Singing Bowls, Bolsters, and Eye Pillows depending on the theme.
- Integration: Includes Guided Journaling prompts and Mantra Chanting.

This is for folks who want more than regular classes. If you’ve been waiting to tackle those tricky asanas or need an advanced yoga immersion, you’ll find it in our monthly workshops. We draw on Ashtanga, Power Yoga, and Iyengar - always hands-on, always direct. Sessions are every weekend, two hours at a time, led by me and Benak Raj.
You’ll also see special themed yoga experiences:
- "Easing the Hips" for letting go of what’s stuck, with journaling and props
- Sound healing to just let go and chill
- Yoga Nidra, where you might just feel like you’re floating
- Mauni Amavasya, a day of chanting and silence - real work, not easy
Building the Happy Yoga Community
It’s not just about the tough stuff. We keep things open with community yoga gatherings - think big outdoor sessions at Lalbagh for Rathasapthami, Yogothon for health causes, and International Yoga Day.
We run free outdoor yoga on weekends and a tough-love 21-day challenge for college kids (miss one day, you’re out).

My Story
Hey, we’re The Happy Yoga Community. Thirteen years and counting, teaching and learning together. I owe everything to my Gurus and parents, really. Yoga’s given us peace, happiness, even respect. Here, we’re all students, sharing the journey. We trek, laugh, and grow—it's not just a studio, it’s family. My dream? Yoga in every home, more smiles everywhere.
