About Workshop & Event Schedule

It's important to know that pottery is a slow craft. When you join our ceramic workshops, keep in mind that the magic takes a little time. While you’ll get your hands dirty and shape your pieces during the session, the careful work of trimming, drying, and double-firing ensures your final mug, bowl, or lamp is durable and food-safe. This entire transformation process from clay to a finished object typically takes about four weeks.

Finding Your Rhythm

Our workshops are an invitation to unplug. Whether you are a total beginner or someone who has spent time on a wheel before, our sessions are designed to meet you where you are. We don't believe in the pressure of perfect results; instead, we focus on the meditative quality of clay—the feeling of the earth beneath your fingers and the focus required to shape it.

Types of Experiences

  • Wheel Throwing: Get familiar with the electric wheel. We guide you through centering, opening, and pulling your own walls to create functional ware like mugs and bowls.
  • Hand-Building: This is about patience and form. Using techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work, you can create sculptures or organic, one-of-a-kind home decor.
  • Kids & Family Sessions: We keep these sessions playful and movement-focused, perfect for developing motor skills and imagination without the distraction of screens.
  • Pop-Up Workshops: You will find us regularly traveling beyond our home base. We host events in Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, bringing the studio vibe to new cities through local partnerships.

The Janbo

Studio at Kodathi Gate, Sarjapur Road, BengaluruStarts from 1,400 Per Person per Session

I started The Janbo because I wanted to find a space to just be—to trade the daily rush for the quiet, meditative rhythm of the potter's wheel. My studio on Sarjapur Road is where I share that same sense of calm, whether you are coming in for a structured pottery course or a one-day workshop to simply get your hands messy and your heart full.
