From the meditative potter's wheel to creative hand-building, join us in Pali Hill to slow down, get messy, and shape clay into your own functional art.

If you've always wanted to try the potter's wheel, this is the workshop for you. I'll guide you through the basics and help you create your very own bowl.

The Nerikomi workshop is where you can play with colored clay to create beautiful patterns. You'll learn the Japanese technique and make a unique plate to take home.

In our hand-building workshop, you'll learn to create a plate using the slab technique. It's a great way to get a feel for clay without using the wheel.

Turn your ideas into art with our Wall Art Tiles workshop. You'll learn relief sculpture techniques to create a decorative tile for your home.

Come and hand-build your own teacup. In this session, we use pinch and coil techniques, which are fundamental pottery skills and a lot of fun.

Thinking of joining a workshop? You can sign up for one of my scheduled sessions or book a private workshop for a group of four or more. It's a great activity for friends and family.

It's easy to join a workshop. All the details and schedules are on my website, and you can register for a session that works for you.

My studio is located in the quiet, green neighborhood of Pali Hill in Bandra. It's a lovely area with cafes and the sea just a short walk away.

Here's a map to help you find The Pottery Lab. We are located on Nargis Dutt road, and there is street parking available if you plan to drive.

A glimpse into one of my hand-building workshops. I start with a little introduction, and then everyone gets to work creating their own pieces. The best part is seeing everyone proud of their work at the end.

About Our Workshops: Find Your Fit

Most people worry about the drying and firing timeline, so keep in mind that your finished pieces require approximately four weeks to be ready. We perform all glaze firing in-house to ensure every mug or bowl you make is fully food-safe and microwave-durable, which means the magic of the kiln simply cannot be rushed.

Finding Your Flow with Clay

At The Pottery Lab, we believe pottery is for everyone, regardless of your artistic background. Whether you are looking for a quick creative outlet or want to build a foundational skill set, our sessions are designed to help you disconnect from the city chaos and reconnect with your hands.

Our Workshop Styles

  • Wheel Throwing: This is for those who want that classic pottery experience. You will work with our Shimpo electric wheels, learning to center clay and pull up cylinders. It is equal parts focus and fun.
  • Hand-Building: If you prefer a slower pace, we explore techniques like pinch, coil, and slab building. These are perfect for making custom ceramic plates, teacups, or sculptural wall art without needing a wheel.
  • Nerikomi: For those who enjoy patterns, we offer sessions on this Japanese technique of layering colored, pigmented clays to create unique, marbled designs.

Why Join Us in Pali Hill?

Our studio is more than just a classroom; it is a green oasis in Bandra. We keep our batches small (6-10 people) to ensure you get high-touch guidance, whether you are trying to center clay on the wheel or smoothing out a slab-built piece. You do not need to bring anything—we provide all the clay, tools, and glazes. Just show up ready to get your hands dirty, and leave the technical firing process to us.
