Basic Terracotta Pottery (Raw Clay Takeaway)
Session Structure
- Duration: 3 Hours (typically 2 PM - 5 PM).
- Wheel Throwing: Introduction to centering and shaping on an electric wheel.
- Hand-Building: Manual sculpting techniques like pinching and coiling.
Materials & Tools
- Clay: Unlimited natural terracotta (red/brown) for practice.
- Equipment: Usage of sponges, wire cutters, trimming tools, and aprons.
- Retention: Keep your best 1-2 creations.
Takeaway Details
- Immediate Handover: Participants take home 'Greenware' (unfired clay) on the same day.
- Important Note: These pieces are fragile and not food-safe or waterproof as they are not fired.
- Optional Upgrade: Firing services available for an additional fee if permanence is required (requires 4-week wait).

Fine Silver Jewellery Sand-Casting
Workshop Syllabus
- Technique: Sand Casting (ancient method using delft clay moulds).
- Process: Mould making, torch melting, pouring molten metal, sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing.

- Silver: Includes up to 10 grams of Fine Silver (99.9% purity).

I started working with clay to slow down, and it changed how I look at creativity. Our workshops at The Janbo aren’t about making perfect things - it’s about finding some quiet, getting your hands messy, and just enjoying the process. If you want a break from the usual rush, this is your spot.
What You’ll Find at Our Studio
We’re tucked away on Sarjapura Road, Bangalore. Our space is pretty chill - no pressure, no art school vibes. Just a place to try new things and meet people who like making stuff. If you’re new to this, no stress. If you’ve done a pottery wheel class for adults before, you’ll find something to dig into too.
Workshop Highlights
- Pottery for everyone: Try both wheel throwing and hand-building. Make mugs, bowls, or whatever you’re vibing with.
- Kids clay modeling workshop: We keep it playful, letting kids shape animals, paint, and just have fun away from screens.
- Team bonding art activity: We host groups at our studio, or we’ll come to your office. It’s a good way to de-stress and connect with your team.
- Paint-A-Pot: Skip the clay, just paint a ready piece and chill.
- Sometimes we have special sessions for sculpture, silver jewelry, or calligraphy. Depends on what’s happening that month.
The Real Deal About Clay
It’s slow work. Pieces need time to dry and fire, sometimes they crack or come out weird. That’s part of it - things don’t always go as planned, but it’s worth it for the final piece.

We pop up in other cities like Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. If you want us to bring a mindful art session to your office or event, just ask.

My Story
Janbo’s story? Clay, soul, home. Feb 2020, I just dropped everything - job, modelling, socials, even WhatsApp. Me, my room, Pinto (my dog), and silence. No clue what next, just floating. One slow-living vlog with clay hands, and bam, something shifted. Clay walked in, travel sprinkled its magic, people and stories mixed in. That’s how Janbo happened. This studio is my heart, where it all finally made sense.
