Slow down, get your hands messy, and find a little calm in the chaos. My mindful clay sessions are all about the joy of creating, not the pressure of achieving perfection.

Here is a glimpse of a corporate workshop I hosted. Clay activities are a fantastic way for teams to unwind, connect, and engage in a creative process together, away from their desks.

This Valentine's, I encouraged everyone to show themselves some self love with a clay experience. My sessions are a perfect opportunity for solo self care, allowing you to disconnect from stress and reconnect with yourself.

I was so happy to be featured by a mental health professional who attended one of my pottery classes. It highlights the strong connection between working with clay and practicing mindfulness.

Clay is a wonderful way to connect with friends. This video shows a group enjoying a session together, some trying the potter's wheel for the first time and others hand building. It is all about the shared experience, the laughter, and the joy of creating something new.

About Mindful Clay for Adults & Groups

You do not need to be an artist to join. In these sessions, we focus on the simple, tactile rhythm of shaping clay—pinching, coiling, or working on the wheel—to help quiet a busy mind. Whether you are looking for a solo creative escape or a relaxed team activity, we prioritize your comfort and the gentle process of making over chasing a perfect final product.

What to Expect

When you visit my studio in HRBR Layout, the goal is to leave the noise of the city at the door. These sessions, lasting between 90 and 120 minutes, are designed to give you the space to breathe. We provide all the materials, from stoneware clay to studio tools, so you can walk in empty-handed and leave with a sense of accomplishment.

Why Clay?

Clay is an incredible medium for grounding yourself. It requires your full attention, which naturally pushes other stresses to the background. My approach, based on my Clay Conversations certification, emphasizes non-verbal expression. You might choose to focus on basic hand-building techniques like coiling and pinching, or try your hand at the potter's wheel. There is no right or wrong way to shape the clay; the experience is entirely about your personal journey and creative release.

The Process

  1. Guided Exploration: We start with gentle breathwork and a light introduction to the clay.
  2. Creation: You work at your own pace, guided by your intuition rather than rigid templates.
  3. Preservation: If you create a piece you love, we handle the trimming, bisque firing, and glazing. Your finished, food-safe ceramic piece will be ready for collection in about 3 to 4 weeks.

Whether you are booking a weekend intensive or a small group session, my aim is to make pottery accessible, messy, and deeply meaningful.

I am Swathi, and I started this studio because I believe clay can do what words sometimes cannot. My goal is to hold space for you to let go of perfection, breathe, and just be in the moment with the clay.
