Our Creative Process and Studio Moments

A peek into the experiments, paintings, and smaller creative moments that happen in our studio when the wheel stops spinning.

From muddy messes to masterpieces, every brushstroke is a memory. Kiln-baked goodness, straight from the heart.

Painting tiny red hearts onto a heart-shaped dish. The fine details are added with care before the piece is glazed.

Another look at underglaze painting, adding color and life to a piece before it enters the kiln.

About Additional Work

Most of the pieces in this gallery represent the techniques we teach, rather than mass-produced items. When you join us for a workshop, you are learning these same hand-building and painting methods, giving you the skills to create your own finished ceramic pieces during our sessions at Sarjapur Road.

Working with clay is rarely a straight line from idea to object. This collection captures the reality of the studio, where we often explore beyond the potter's wheel. You will see examples of our hand-building projects, where we shape forms without machines, and our Paint-A-Pot sessions, where the focus shifts entirely to surface decoration and mindfulness.

We believe that art should be part of your daily routine. That is why our creative workshops in Bangalore are designed to be approachable, whether you are picking up clay for the first time or returning to refine your skills. In these sessions, we focus on the process of creation—the messy hands, the patience required for drying, and the final satisfaction of holding a bowl or lamp you made yourself.

If you see something here that catches your eye, it is likely a technique we cover in one of our courses. From sculpture fundamentals to ceramic painting, we provide the tools and guidance to help you find your own style. Our studio acts as a community space where you can disconnect from the digital rush and reconnect with a tactile, slow-living hobby.

We regularly host these sessions in Bengaluru and travel to cities like Chennai, Kochi, and Mumbai for pop-up workshops. If you want to experience the clay process for yourself, come by the studio, bring a friend, or join us for a group event.

The Janbo

I started The Janbo because I needed to slow down, and today, that is exactly what I share. Whether we are painting ceramics or working the wheel, my goal is to help you disconnect from the rush and find comfort in the clay.
