Gentle and Accessible Yoga in South Delhi
Yoga is a path for every body. Our gentle sessions offer a slower pace with modified postures, making the practice safe and restorative for all.
Our gentle yogis have the right approach. This video shows students in our gentle class using chairs and other props to practice asanas safely and effectively, proving that yoga can be adapted for all needs.
Our Gentle Class runs from Monday to Friday and is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. This slower-paced session includes easy postures like Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose) to improve mobility and well-being.
About Gentle & Accessible Yoga
Our gentle sessions are designed to remove the hesitation often associated with starting a new yoga practice. By incorporating props like chairs and focusing on modified asanas, we ensure that students with limited mobility, recovering from injury, or simply seeking a restorative experience can fully participate in the traditional Sivananda sequence without pressure to perform.
At our Kailash Colony centre, we believe that the true essence of yoga is found in the stillness of the mind and the stability of the body, not in the intensity of the workout. This gentle programme follows our standard 90-minute Hatha yoga structure but is adapted to prioritize accessibility and safety.
Why Choose Our Gentle Classes?
Many practitioners turn to us because they want the benefits of yoga—improved circulation, deeper breathing, and mental clarity—without the strain of an advanced, high-impact routine. Our instructors guide you through the 12 basic asanas with variations that respect your current physical limitations. Whether you are using a chair for support during standing poses or taking longer intervals in Savasana to deeply rest the nervous system, you are receiving the same authentic guidance as our open classes.
What You Will Learn
- Pranayama (Breathing): We focus on Kapalabhati and Anuloma Viloma to calm the nervous system and increase oxygen flow.
- Modified Asanas: Postures are adjusted to allow you to build strength and flexibility safely.
- Deep Relaxation: You will learn the art of releasing tension consciously, which is vital for healing and stress reduction.
This class runs Monday to Friday, providing a consistent routine that helps establish a healthy habit. It is an ideal space for seniors, those navigating recovery, or anyone who feels that traditional fitness environments are not the right fit for their current needs. We invite you to step away from the rush of Delhi and spend 75 minutes in a space dedicated to your well-being.
