About Yoga

Why We Exist

I started Sama because there was too much focus on tough workouts and not enough on the mind. Sama (सम) means calmness and balance, and that’s what I want for you. Our space is all about slowing down, moving, breathing, and meditating - not just sweating it out.

What Makes Our Studio Different

  • No phones, no smartwatches. This is a real digital detox yoga studio.
  • No mirrors, no pressure to “look a certain way.” Just focus on how you feel.
  • Small classes, so you actually get help from the instructor.

What We Offer

Our schedule is a mix - you’ll find something for any mood or level.

  • Classical Hatha for basics, Vinyasa/Ashtanga for those who like to flow.
  • Restorative yoga class and Yin for deep relaxation or if you want yoga for anxiety relief or better sleep.
  • Yogalates (Yoga + Pilates) for core strength, and Aerial Yoga for those looking for something different (Cocoon Savasana is a favourite).
  • Special classes: Prenatal yoga for moms-to-be, and fun, mindful movement yoga for kids and teens.

The Calm Mind Practice

Every single class ends with calming the mind - breathwork, yoga nidra meditation, or sometimes sound healing with Himalayan bowls. All levels, all bodies, all ages - truly welcome here.

People ask, why 'Calm Mind Studio' and not just yoga? We started Sama to make mental health simple. Life’s noisy, right? Phones buzzing, work piling up, brains fried from screens. Most chase fitness, but minds get left behind. We wanted a space to unplug, breathe, and just be. No phones, no distractions, just your hour. Not about posting videos or showing off. Real magic is stepping onto the mat, finding your healthspan, and some real peace.
