About Adult Yoga & Mindfulness
Why I Practice and Teach Yoga
When I first started yoga, I thought it was just about physical fitness. But over time, I found that the real magic is in how it helps you find shanti (peace) inside. My teachers taught me yoga is about showing up for yourself, not being perfect.
Our Approach at the Shala
Every adult’s journey in yoga is different. At my shala in JP Nagar, Bangalore, or online, I guide you whether you want mindful movement for adults, are just starting out, or already deep into your practice. You can choose what fits your needs best.
Ashtanga Yoga - Discipline & Flow
Mysore Style lets you move at your own pace; I come around, give tips and corrections, and you grow from wherever you are. Led Primary Series is a group class, pretty intense, we sweat and push each other, especially early mornings during Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise). It’s not easy, but it builds real strength.
Hatha Yoga - Foundation & Calm
These sessions are gentler, perfect if you want yoga for stress relief and anxiety or just a calm way to stretch and build strength. All adults, all fitness levels are welcome.
Pranayama & Meditation
Breathwork and meditation classes help you slow down and focus. I run regular pranayama sessions and a 21-day Journey Inwards for meditation. We also have a free weekly online session called The Mindful Hour.
Everyone’s Welcome
Inclusivity matters to me. We’ve got women-only Hatha classes and adapt for neurodivergent adults or those with special needs. Anyone can join and find their own path.
Our Community
Our shala is a sangha (community), not just a studio. Here, you’re part of a group that supports each other. Yoga isn’t just exercise - it’s about finding your people.

My Story
Namaste. Back in 2006, I just wanted to get healthier, but yoga pulled me deeper. Under my guru Sh. Sharath Jois, Ashtanga became more than poses - it became my way. I wandered the Himalayas, trekked to Mt. Shivling, learned from Buddhist teachers, even studied Compassion at Stanford. Our shala, Ashtanga Yoga Sadhna, grew from a tiny idea to a real home. We’re not chasing perfection here, just showing up, learning, sharing. Grateful for this community, and for every teacher who’s lit my way.
My Work
Holistic Yoga & Mindfulness Classes - We offer Mysore style Ashtanga, gentle Hatha, Pranayama, daily meditation, kids yoga summer camp, kirtan, and more.
A Real Community, Not Just a Studio - Our shala is a kula - a home, not a gym. We honor each person’s journey, breath, and rhythm.
Yoga for All Bodies and Minds - Women-only yoga classes, fun kids programs, and special neurodivergent yoga workshops make sure everyone feels welcome.
Practice that Goes Deep - We focus on asana, pranayama, meditation, and discipline. Show up, move, breathe, repeat. Growth comes slowly.
Living Yoga Off the Mat - We do pilgrimages, solstice sadhanas, and raise funds for tribal kids. Yoga is more than exercise – it’s a way to live.
