About My Yoga Philosophy & Teachings

In my sessions, I use yoga props like wheels, blocks, and belts not to make the practice easier, but to make it anatomically correct for your specific body. This approach is crucial if you are joining because of chronic cervical or back pain, as it allows us to safely create traction and spinal decompression without risking further injury. You receive hands-on alignment corrections, whether you attend our studio sessions in Shalimar Bagh or join our interactive Zoom classes from home.

My philosophy is simple: one hour of dedicated practice keeps you healthy and joyful for the rest of the day. I believe that yoga is a lifestyle, not just a series of poses. My teaching is built on the foundation of 'Pehla sukh nirogi kaya' (the first happiness is a healthy body), and I work with you to ensure that your physical, mental, and emotional health are aligned.

Why Therapeutic Yoga?

Many students come to me struggling with modern-day ailments like stress, anxiety, PCOD, or high blood pressure. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all workout. Instead, I focus on:

  • Targeted Relief: Using specific asanas to manage lower back pain, sciatica, and cervical spondylitis.
  • Prop-Assisted Practice: We use wooden blocks, chairs, and belts to help you achieve the correct alignment, which is essential for injury prevention and deepening the therapeutic impact of each pose.
  • Breathwork & Meditation: I teach traditional Pranayama and Sahaj Dhyan to help release suppressed stress and calm the nervous system.
