Therapeutic Yoga for Pain Relief and Healing
I help you manage chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, and stress through guided, therapeutic yoga. My practice focuses on safe alignment and personalized care to bring your body back to balance.
This video shows specific asanas we practice to help manage hormonal imbalances like PCOD and PCOS. Using the yoga wheel helps in opening the pelvic region and stimulating the reproductive organs.
Did you know stress is a major cause of high BP? I invite you to learn which pranayama techniques can help you naturally control your blood pressure by calming your nervous system.
Migraines can be debilitating, but certain pranayamas can offer great relief. In my classes and workshops, I teach the correct methods to practice these breathing exercises to cure migraine pain.
If you suffer from cervical pain, it is very important to do the right asanas in the right way. I teach specific neck and shoulder exercises that provide relief without causing any strain.
Here, we are using a chair to work on deep spine flexibility and backbends. This supported variation of Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) helps in relieving back stiffness and strengthening the entire spine.
Students practicing Ardha Chandrasana, or the Half Moon Pose, against the wall for support. This asana is excellent for stretching the hips, thighs, and legs, and improves concentration.
This asana, Upavistha Konasana (Seated Wide-Legged Forward Bend), is very effective for reducing fat from the lower abdomen. Here, we add a yoga block to intensify the core engagement and stretch.
About Yoga for Pain & Body Ailments
In my studio, we don't just perform poses—we use props like wheels, belts, and chairs to ensure your spine stays safe while you heal. These tools aren't there to make the practice easier; they are there to make your alignment correct so you can target specific pain points like cervical stiffness or lumbar discomfort without fear of injury.
Healing from physical ailments requires consistency and the right technique. I designed these therapeutic sessions to address the root cause of discomfort, whether it is postural strain from office work or chronic conditions.
My Approach to Therapeutic Yoga
- Spinal Care: For cervical spondylitis, lower back pain, and sciatica, we use wall-mounted ropes and yoga wheels. These help in spinal traction and gentle decompression, providing relief that simple stretching often cannot achieve.
- Hormonal Balance: PCOD and thyroid regulation require a mix of movement and breathwork. My sequences stimulate the pelvic region and regulate the nervous system, helping you manage these conditions naturally.
- Breathwork for Pain: Chronic pain often triggers anxiety. I teach traditional pranayama and meditation techniques, like Sahaj Dhyan, to calm your nervous system, which in turn lowers your sensitivity to physical pain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this suitable if I have never done yoga? Yes. I keep my batches small, with 8 to 12 students. This ensures I can provide hands-on adjustments and tailor the poses to your current flexibility level.
How is this different from a regular fitness class? Standard fitness classes focus on intensity. My classes focus on alignment, longevity, and disease management. We prioritize the 'Karo Yog, Raho Nirog' philosophy—yoga as a lifestyle that keeps you disease-free.
Do you offer private sessions? I offer 1-on-1 assisted therapy sessions for acute conditions like a frozen shoulder or slip disc, where I personally guide you through passive stretching and manual manipulation.
