Inclusive Yoga & Mindfulness Practice
My shala is a home for everyone, regardless of ability or background. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and sensory-friendly environment where we celebrate every person's unique journey on the mat.
I had the opportunity to host a Mindfulness Self Compassion workshop online for parents and caregivers at APAAR, an organization supporting intellectually disabled adults. It is my firm belief that these practices can offer profound support to those who give so much of themselves.
A screenshot from the online workshop with caregivers. Using technology to share these tools of mindfulness and self compassion allows me to connect with and support communities far beyond my physical shala.
About A Space for All: Inclusive Practice
Whether you are neurodivergent or a caregiver seeking support, our practice is anchored in emotional safety rather than performance. We focus on sensory-friendly environments and slow, adaptive movements that let you find stillness at your own pace, without any pressure to match a traditional yoga standard.
In our shala, the mat is a place for grounding, not for chasing perfection. When I work with neurodivergent individuals and their families, my primary goal is to strip away the noise of the outside world. We move slowly, using breath and gentle movement to calm the nervous system.
My collaboration with organizations like APAAR has shown me that mindfulness is a vital resource for caregivers who often carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. These sessions are about creating a pause button. Whether we are doing guided breathing, simple movement therapy, or quiet meditation, we adapt everything to suit your comfort level.
If you are coming to me for the first time, know that there is no right way to be here. We do not focus on flexibility or rigid postures. Instead, we look for connection, rhythm, and a sense of belonging. My space in JP Nagar is built on this foundation of inclusivity, and I invite you to show up exactly as you are.
