Adaptive and Therapeutic Yoga for Every Body
Forget what you know about perfect poses and standard studio classes. If you have ever felt like you don't belong in a yoga space, this is where you start. My sessions are about movement that feels good and a mind that feels safe, regardless of your size, shape, or mobility.
Think you can't do yoga? Bullshit. Here’s a full Chair Suryanamaskar. It’s proof that yoga can meet you wherever you are, whether you have mobility issues, are in a larger body, or just need extra support.
This is my mantra. It’s about embracing where you are right now, feeling stronger in your own skin, and letting go of the need for anyone else's approval. This is what practice looks like when it's for you and nobody else.
Let's be real, sometimes you just need to be a rolly polly and tell the haters to fuck off. My practice is about finding joy in movement and celebrating your body, not punishing it.
As a curvy yogi, I know what it feels like to be told your body can't do certain things. This challenging Dandayamana Bharadwajasana is my answer. Your body is not a limitation.
Here's another angle of this hip-opening balance. It's not about forcing your leg behind your head; it's about exploring your body's unique range of motion with curiosity and without judgment.
This pose requires focus and a strong belief in yourself. It's a physical representation of the mental work we do in my classes, questioning our own limiting beliefs.
Look them in the eye and own your space. This is what body positivity in yoga looks like. It's not about being a certain size; it's about inhabiting your body with confidence and strength.
About Yoga for Every Body
We don’t do cookie-cutter routines here. If standing is tough, we sit. If balance is an issue, we use props like Iyengar chairs or walls to support you. You’ll get 12 interactive monthly sessions (group) or 8 personalized ones, where the goal isn't a perfect pose—it’s about mobility, breathwork, and actually feeling better in your own skin.
Yoga Without the Rules
I’m a curvy yogi, and I know exactly what it feels like to be told your body 'can't' do something. My practice is designed to dismantle that narrative. Whether you are dealing with chronic joint pain, recovering from an injury, or navigating anxiety, we use adaptive techniques to make yoga work for your specific anatomy.
How We Practice
- Accessible Tools: We use what’s available. If you have an Iyengar chair, a wall, or a dupatta, that’s all we need. I specialize in Chair Yoga for seniors and those with limited mobility, ensuring you get the benefits of a full flow without the risk of strain.
- The Mental Shift: This is as much about your mind as your muscles. I integrate 5-10 minutes of mindfulness into group sessions to help you ground yourself. If you opt for 1-on-1 therapy, we include dedicated time for emotional support before we even touch a pose.
- Real Talk, Real Progress: My goal is to help you move away from the 'I can't do this' loop. We focus on therapeutic sequences for PCOS, obesity, and hypertension, ensuring the movement is restorative rather than exhausting.
Why Choose This Approach?
Because you don’t need to look a certain way to deserve peace. My group sessions are limited to 10-15 people so I can actually see you and correct your form, and my 1-on-1 sessions start with a deep-dive assessment of your medical history. We’re here to heal, not to impress. If you have questions about whether your specific condition is a fit, let's talk.
