Adventures in Nature: Yoga Retreats in Rishikesh
Nature is my primary classroom. Join me for immersive retreats that blend Hatha yoga with forest hikes, riverside meditation, and the healing waters of the Ganga.
A video from a hike during one of my most special retreats. Even when feeling exhausted, the joy and energy of the group and the beauty of nature always pull me through. These moments teach us about our own resilience.
A sunny moment on a forest trail. Being in nature, surrounded by trees and sunlight, is deeply restorative and a key part of the healing journey on my retreats.
A happy group selfie after a challenging but rewarding hike. The sense of accomplishment and shared joy after reaching our destination together is a memory we all cherish.
Watching the sunset over the river valley on the Summer Solstice. This is a moment of gratitude for the light outside and the light within, a perfect way to celebrate the International Day of Yoga.
Meditating as the sun sets, a practice of honoring the light and finding stillness. Nature provides the most beautiful temples for our practice.
A participant playfully wielding a piece of driftwood by the river. Our nature excursions are not just about quiet reflection but also about finding moments of playfulness and joy.
A participant playfully hanging upside down from a tree during our hike. Moments like these remind us to connect with our inner child and find joy in the simple things.
Another joyful group photo from our hike. The bonds we form while navigating the trails and supporting each other are a huge part of the retreat experience.
Three women striking a playful pose during our hike. The laughter and camaraderie shared on these adventures are just as healing as the yoga practice itself.
A participant standing at the beautiful wooden gate of our retreat center, Oneness. The entrance itself feels like a portal into a world of nature and tranquility.
About Adventures in Nature
On these retreats, I don't just guide you through asanas. We spend our days hiking to waterfalls and meditating by the river because nature acts as a catalyst for the emotional release we aim for. If you’re coming from a high-stress corporate life, expect a mix of restorative Hatha sessions and active adventures that help you reconnect with your body without any pressure to perform.
My retreats are designed for those who feel disconnected—not just from their practice, but from their own pace of life. We host these sessions at the ONENESS resort in Rishikesh, a place chosen for its proximity to both the mountains and the holy Ganga.
Here is what our time in nature actually looks like:
- Mindful Movement: We start with Hatha and Ashtanga-inspired flows, often outdoors. These sessions are about aligning your breath and movement, not achieving perfect alignment in poses.
- The Healing Power of Water: We facilitate dips in the Ganga, a practice I personally use for cold therapy and grounding. It is refreshing, sometimes challenging, and deeply transformative.
- Beyond Asana: We incorporate art therapy sessions on the riverbank and evening Havan rituals. These activities are meant to help you express emotions that words often fail to capture.
- Community Support: You aren't doing this alone. Our sharing circles create a 'sangha' where you can speak honestly about your journey—whether it’s burnout, the desire for clarity, or just a need to rest.
Whether you are booking a shared luxury cottage or a private sanctuary room, my aim is to provide a container where you can let go. You’ll be eating Satvic vegetarian meals focused on gut health, far removed from the city rush. Come to reset, breathe, and remember what it feels like to just be. Hari Om.
