I believe yoga is meant to be felt beyond the four walls of a studio. These retreats allow you to unplug, breathe with the elements, and return to your own rhythm.

A Hatha Vinyasa flow on a mountaintop in Maharashtra. Practicing at sunset reminds me of the Sanskrit verse "Appa deepo bhava," to be a light unto yourself, which is a core philosophy of my retreats.

Finding a moment of balance with Natarajasana (dancer's pose) on a high rock during a retreat trek. These moments of connection with nature are just as important as the time we spend on the mat.

A gentle evening flow by the sea. This sequence includes core-strengthening poses and twists, all timed with the breath to create a moving meditation as the sun sets over the water.

This is a classic Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, practiced outdoors. The reflective surface and surrounding greenery create a serene environment to honor the start of the day and awaken the body.

Holding Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana, a standing hand-to-big-toe pose, against the setting sun. This asana challenges balance and hamstring flexibility, teaching us to stay grounded even as we reach.

The day is framed by two magical moments: sunrise and sunset. This is a visual reminder of our daily practice, showing handstands that greet the morning light and bid farewell to the day.

Taking the practice anywhere. Here, I am moving into a handstand on a quiet road in the mountains of Maharashtra, proving that all you need is your breath and a little space to connect.

Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, or Upward-Facing Dog, is a powerful heart-opener. Practicing it by the sea, with the vast sky above, enhances the feeling of expansion and freedom in the body and mind.

A dynamic flow in a park, moving from a handstand into Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose). This transition requires both strength and spinal flexibility, built over time with consistent practice.

Finding playful ways to connect with nature, like using the roots of this banyan tree for support in different asanas. Yoga can be both a disciplined practice and a joyful exploration.

About Yoga in Nature's Embrace

When we practice outdoors, nature becomes our studio. Whether we are on a mountain trail in Maharashtra or by the Ganges, the uneven ground naturally engages your stabilizer muscles, taking your balance work beyond what is possible on a flat mat. It is a raw, authentic way to reconnect with your own flow.
