Playful Yoga & Mindfulness for Kids

About Mindful Play: Yoga & Meditation for Kids
My sessions are not about holding perfect poses. We use interactive tools like pinwheels for breathwork, singing bowls for sensory play, and guided storytelling to help children manage their energy. Whether it is in my Santacruz studio or an outdoor park, I adapt the flow so even the most energetic child can find a quiet moment to reset.
Children today face real pressure, and yoga is a gentle way to hit the pause button. My approach blends physical movement with simple mindfulness techniques that kids actually enjoy.
How We Practice
We practice Bhramari, or Bee Breath, to help calm the mind before settling into a short, guided meditation. I use props like yoga blocks for building and balance games to teach focus without the boredom. For sensory play, we explore sound healing with Himalayan singing bowls, letting kids touch the bowls and feel the vibrations, which often helps them quiet down after active movement.
Why Join
Classes are kept small to ensure every child gets attention. We do not just sit still. We move, play, and occasionally draw or use sand art to express ourselves. It is about building a foundation for resilience and self-awareness, not getting the posture exactly right.
Logistics
I offer classes at my studio in Santacruz West and host outdoor sessions in local parks where the environment encourages a natural connection. Whether you are looking for after-school activities or a weekend workshop, I have batches suitable for toddlers to teens.
