Yoga Philosophy, Breathwork & Stillness
Yoga is more than a workout; it is an internal alignment. Join me to explore pranayama, meditation, and philosophy, designed to help you find clarity right here, right now.
As Buddha said, "Be a light unto yourself." We practice this through techniques like Bhramari (Bee Breath) pranayama, which calms the mind and draws our awareness inward, helping us find our own inner light.
I believe yoga is an alignment for life, much like a car's alignment for its journey. Sharing this philosophy is as important as teaching asanas, as it helps you connect your practice on the mat to your life off the mat.
The real journey of yoga is the one that connects you to your true self. When we practice together, whether indoors or out, the goal is always to move beyond the physical and find that inner connection.
As Diljit Dosanjh says, spending just 10 minutes with yourself every morning can change your life. Yoga and meditation are the best ways to do this, creating a foundation of peace and focus for your entire day.
"Mrityu hi param satya hai" (Death is the ultimate truth). This understanding encourages us to live each day with joy and awareness. My practice, especially inversions like this scorpion pose, is a reminder to see the world from a different perspective.
Overthinking and negative thoughts are like shadows; they follow us but have no substance. Through a consistent yoga practice, we learn to ignore the shadows and focus on the light of the present moment.
About More Than Poses: Breath, Stillness & Philosophy
In these sessions, we focus on pranayama techniques like Bhramari and Anulom Vilom, not just for physical health, but to calm the mind and clear the mental fog of daily life. You do not need to be flexible to start; I provide hands-on manual adjustments to ensure you are practicing safely and effectively, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen your existing practice.
Too often, we rush through life without asking the big questions. That is where these sessions come in. We move beyond just asanas to explore the true roots of yoga—breathwork and meditation. Whether you are dealing with chronic back pain or the modern-day anxiety of a busy lifestyle, we use proven pranayama and mindfulness to shift your state.
My Vikaspuri studio is a space for everyone, regardless of your age or current physical state. I don't believe in competition; we focus on alignment. Think of it like aligning the wheels of a car—if your body and mind are not aligned, the journey becomes difficult. I use props like yoga wheels and blocks to support you, helping you achieve the correct posture without strain.
We also incorporate elements like 'Desi Sweat' sessions—natural hot yoga without AC—to help you detoxify, and we always close with Savasana and the calming resonance of singing bowls. If you have been waiting to start because you think you aren't 'flexible enough,' let that go. Just bring your willingness to learn. We are here to answer the question, 'Jeevan hai kya?' (What is life?), one breath at a time.

I see yoga as a way to align your mind and soul, much like tuning a car for a long journey. I’m here to guide you, not just instruct, helping you find that same peace I discovered on my own path 12 years ago.
