Beyond Asana: Breath, Chanting & Philosophy Workshops
Yoga is a practice that goes deep within. Explore the subtler dimensions of breathwork, ancient philosophy, and chanting to quiet the mind and find genuine stillness.
The transcendental power of kirtan. Chanting the divine names, like "Govinda Jai Jai," turns us inward and connects us to a place deeper than our thoughts. This is the heart of Bhakti Yoga.
What is yoga? In this short talk, I share my humble attempt to explain this profound question. In simple terms, it is the journey to center the mind and unite the body, mind, and spirit.
A student deep in the experience of a kirtan session. When we chant together, we create a shared field of devotion and high vibrational energy that is deeply healing.
This is James Boag, a wonderful teacher who integrates philosophy, storytelling, and chanting into his sessions. It was a joy to host him for a kirtan, born out of a moment of pure synchronicity.
A group of seekers gathered for a chanting session with the harmonium. These moments of shared devotion are a reminder of the power of sound to connect us to the source.
The djembe drum, waiting to add its rhythm to our kirtan. Music is a universal language that helps us express the bhakti bhav, the feeling of devotion, that words alone cannot capture.
An online philosophy session, beginning with opening prayers. "Om Sri Gurubhyo Namah Harih Om." Salutations to the Gurus. Technology allows us to share this sacred wisdom and connect as a community, no matter where we are.
About this collection
In these sessions, we leave the pressure of achievement at the door. I structure our time to move naturally from breathwork into silence, using kirtan or philosophy to help you bridge the gap between your mat and your daily life. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced practitioner, you will find no judgment here, only a space to reconnect with your own rhythm.
True yoga is a state of being, not just a shape you make with your body. In these workshops, I create a bridge between ancient wisdom and the modern chaos of city life. We do not just stretch, we sit with the breath, we chant to clear the mind, and we study philosophy to find clarity.
What we explore:
- Pranayama & Kriya: Simple, accessible breathwork designed to calm the nervous system instantly.
- Philosophy Chats: We discuss real-life application of Vedanta and ancient Sutras. It is not a lecture, but an open conversation.
- Kirtan & Chanting: Using sound to shift our internal state from busy to still.
I host these sessions in small groups across Gurgaon and Delhi NCR, ensuring everyone gets personal attention. If you have felt lost in a crowded yoga studio or overwhelmed by the competitive nature of modern fitness, these sessions are a return to the roots—a space to just be. We do not chase perfect alignment; we chase alignment of the body, mind, and spirit. Hari Om.
