Yoga isn't just about flexibility; it is about proper alignment. I guide you with hands-on support so you can practice safely, whether you're working through back pain or looking to deepen your poses.

Achieving a deep backbend like Dhanurasana (Bow Pose) requires trust and proper technique. I provide gentle, hands-on support to help students open their shoulders and spine safely, allowing them to experience the full benefits of the pose.

A forward fold is more than just touching your toes; it's about lengthening the spine. Here, during a workshop in Thailand, I'm helping a student find more space in her lower back to deepen the Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend).

Yoga is for everyone, and I love sharing its benefits with younger practitioners. Guiding a child through advanced poses requires a special kind of patience and encouragement, helping them build confidence and body awareness from a young age.

Kurmasana (Tortoise Pose) is an intense forward fold that calms the nervous system. With careful assistance, I help students ease into the posture, releasing tension in the hips and back to find stillness within the stretch.

For poses like Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) that strengthen the back, proper form is key. I guide students to engage the right muscles, ensuring they build strength without compromising their lower back.

The journey to advanced poses like Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (One-Legged King Pigeon Pose) is built on patience. My role is to provide the support needed to explore these deep stretches, helping to open the hips and chest gradually.

In my workshops, I focus on personalized adjustments. This hands-on assist in Janu Sirsasana (Head-to-Knee Pose) helps the student release their back and deepen the hamstring stretch correctly.

About Hands-On Guidance & Alignment

Most injuries happen because we push into a pose without understanding how our body is positioned. In my sessions, I provide manual adjustments and use props—like blocks, belts, and wheels—to help you find space safely. Think of it like aligning a car; when your body is properly aligned, movement becomes smooth and pain-free, allowing you to actually feel the benefit of the stretch.

Why Hands-On Alignment Matters

Yoga is an internal journey, but you cannot focus on the 'inside' if your body is struggling on the 'outside'. Many people come to my Vikaspuri studio dealing with chronic back pain, cervical stiffness, or just general lethargy from desk jobs. My goal is to ensure you don't just mimic a pose, but understand how to execute it correctly.

My Approach to Your Practice

  • Safe Adjustments: I don't just watch; I assist. Whether it is a deep backbend like Dhanurasana or a restorative forward fold, I use manual guidance to ensure your spine is lengthened and your joints are protected.
  • Prop-Assisted Learning: You don't need to be naturally flexible. We use PVC blocks, yoga wheels, and belts to bridge the gap between where your body is today and where you want it to be.
  • Therapeutic Focus: If you suffer from sciatica or herniated discs, we focus on therapeutic movements rather than intense flow. This is about restoration, not just competition.

Finding 'Samatvam' (Balance)

As the saying goes, Samatvam Yoga Uchyate—yoga is balance. When we practice with proper alignment, we stop fighting against our own bodies. We start listening to our breath. You might come in looking to fix your posture, but you will leave with a clearer mind.

Whether you are a beginner or someone aiming for advanced inversions, the guidance remains the same: move with kindness, stay in the present, and let the alignment work its magic. Yoga se hi hoga.
