Real Yoga Journeys and Student Stories
Yoga is not about the end goal, but the daily practice. See how our students build strength, overcome physical challenges, and show up for themselves every single day.
Here, one of my long term students, Champaka, shares her experience after two years of practice. She speaks about finding not just physical benefits but also friendship and a sense of belonging in our community.
This is a showcase of Shilpa, a student who came to yoga with a clean slate and an open mind. Her consistency and trust in the practice have allowed her to progress beautifully and sustainably.
I'm showcasing Kritika, who has maintained a strong and regular practice on her own with videos. Her dedication has helped her overcome many issues, and her passion for yoga continues to grow.
This video captures Riya successfully achieving a headstand. In my group classes, I encourage students to set their own posture goals and provide personalized guidance to help them work towards them safely.
This is me, five years apart, in the same place, holding the same headstand. The ease in the second photo is a direct result of years of consistent practice, showing that progress is a long term journey.
The journey to achieving a "fancy" pose is filled with struggle, falls, and getting back up again. This video is a reminder that the process is real, and with persistence, you will get there.
I asked my students what they value most about my classes. The top answers were knowledgeable teachers, personal attention, and classes suitable for all levels, which is exactly what I strive to provide.
This feedback from my students is invaluable. It confirms that my focus on personal corrections, variety, and creating a professional yet welcoming environment is making a real impact on their health and practice.
Getting feedback from students is what makes my day. Hearing how the practice has helped you reminds me why I teach and helps me continue to improve the classes I offer.
Here, Pranav shares his transformative journey with yoga. He went from hating exercise to feeling the strongest he's ever been, both physically and mentally, even conquering a Himalayan trek with ease.
About Student Journeys & Testimonials
Many people who look at these photos assume the students started as experts. They did not. What you do not see here is the months of struggling with simple postures, the days of feeling unmotivated, and the slow process of showing up anyway. Real progress at our studio is measured by consistency, not by how deep you can bend or how long you can hold a pose.
Why We Showcase Real Stories
We share these journeys because yoga is often misrepresented online. You see perfectly aligned poses and assume that is the starting point. It is not. The stories you see here—like Pranav conquering a Himalayan trek or Riya achieving her first headstand—are the result of quiet, persistent work done in our small group sessions.
The Reality of Our Practice
- Consistency over Intensity: You will see students who started with zero flexibility. Their progress comes from showing up to the mat even when it is difficult, not from intensity or raw talent.
- Small Batches: We cap our classes at 8-12 students. This is intentional. It allows us to give you hands-on corrections and ensure you are moving safely, whether you are in our Kalyannagar studio or joining online.
- Using Props: You will notice blocks, straps, and chairs in many photos. These are not signs of weakness. They are tools that make yoga accessible, helping you build a sustainable practice that fits your body exactly as it is today.
What You Can Expect
Whether you are dealing with stiffness, recovering from a sedentary lifestyle, or looking to deepen your existing practice, you will find a supportive community here. We do not focus on showing off. We focus on teaching you the foundations of breath, alignment, and movement so you can develop a practice that actually lasts.
