About Yoga for Kids (Online)
Kids usually tune out the moment they hear the word 'class'. That is why these sessions are designed differently. We treat this as a 75-minute window of play and discovery rather than a rigid lecture, ensuring they learn the basics of posture and mindfulness without ever feeling like they are back in school.
I designed this 7-day online course for children aged 7 to 13 because I know how hard it is to get them interested in something new. My goal is to make the practice stick by keeping it light and engaging.
What we actually do in these 75 minutes
- Physical Basics: We cover asanas that focus on growth, flexibility, and building lung capacity. These are not intense workouts, but simple movements that help them become more aware of their bodies.
- Food Awareness: Instead of giving lectures on nutrition, we have interactive discussions about food. We talk about the difference between junk food and what I call 'positive pranic' food, helping them make better choices on their own.
- Nature Connect: We include small activities that encourage kids to observe and appreciate the nature around them, even if it is just a plant on the balcony or the birds outside the window.
- Mindfulness: We use storytelling and simple tasks to introduce discipline. It is about learning to focus, not just sitting with eyes closed.

Since these are live sessions on Zoom, I can offer real-time corrections. I watch them perform the postures, and guide them just like I would in a studio. The batch size is kept small enough that every child gets attention, and we keep the timing consistent so it easily fits into a holiday or summer schedule.
