About Kids Yoga: Fun, Focus & Growth
I keep my batches small, with only 10-15 students, because I want to give every child individual attention for their posture and alignment. You will see us using interactive cards and games to teach breathing, which helps them stay engaged without feeling like they are in another structured classroom.
Yoga for children in Bangalore should not feel like another rigid school subject. My classes for ages 5 to 14 blend traditional asanas with cognitive activities designed to support their growing minds. In my Sahakar Nagar studio, we focus on three pillars: physical agility, emotional regulation, and concentration.
We incorporate pranayama, or breathwork, early on. This teaches children how to manage stress, a tool they can use long after they leave the mat. For the physical aspect, we work on poses that build strength and balance, always with premium flooring and props to ensure safety.
The brain-boosting games are a favorite part of the session. Whether it is memory exercises or focus games, these activities make the practice playful while improving executive function. I keep the batches small because every child needs space to find their own version of a pose, and I want to be able to guide them personally. Whether your child needs to channel excess energy, improve their focus, or simply find a space to be themselves, these sessions are designed to help them thrive.
