My studio, Yogakshema, was designed to be a true sanctuary of peace. Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil waters, it is a space built specifically to help you disconnect from the city's noise and reconnect with your mind, body, and soul through the precise Iyengar method.
As my Guruji said, "Yoga is a golden key which unlocks the door to peace, tranquility and joy." This is the entrance to Yogakshema, a space designed for that purpose.

About Our Sanctuary: Yogakshema
You will not find sterile, echoey halls here. Yogakshema is built to facilitate the specific demands of Iyengar Yoga, with high ceilings and heavy-duty rope walls designed for stability and depth. When you step onto the mat in this space, the quiet and the proximity to nature are not just aesthetic choices. They are functional, helping you lower your cortisol and focus entirely on the micro-adjustments that make this practice truly therapeutic.
The architecture of a space dictates the quality of your movement. When I established Yogakshema in Mandi House, I wanted to ensure that every element—from the lighting to the specific distance between yoga mats—served the science of alignment.
Why the Environment Matters
Iyengar Yoga requires intense concentration. You are not simply 'stretching' here. You are learning to align your skeletal structure to release tension. In a crowded or noisy environment, the mind stays agitated, and the nervous system remains in a state of fight-or-flight. My studio is equipped with the specific medical-grade props required for the Iyengar method.
