Shaolin Roots, Real Skills
I’m Shifu Kumar, a 34th Generation Shaolin Temple Warrior Disciple. For me, fitness isn’t just about workouts - it’s about learning proper technique and building real skill every session. Repetition, patience, and small details matter the most.
What I Teach
- My sessions mix multiple combat sports and self-defense systems, so you get a solid, real-world skill set no matter your experience level.
- All are welcome - total beginners, women, men, experienced fighters. You just need the will to learn.
Boxing & Footwork
- I break down boxing fundamentals training step by step: stance, guard (“Chin down. Look up.”), jab, cross, hook, uppercut, and combos.
- We drill footwork till it’s second nature - “step and slide,” always balanced.
- Even a simple cross punch, I’ll remind you: “body weight peeche rahega” (keep your body weight back for power).
Self-Defense That Works
- I focus on practical unarmed self-defense for real situations, not just theory. That means close-range drills, partner work, and takedown basics.
- We also dive into Filipino stick fighting (Dacayana Eskrima) and knife defense classes, based on what I learned in Cebu, Philippines.

My Story
Namo Damo. We are Damo Shaolin Kung Fu School, named after the legendary Bodhidharma who brought Zen to China. Our journey started at the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, China, where Shi Yan Xiang trained as a 34th generation disciple. From the Dharma Hole to ancient halls, we soaked in the spirit of the masters. Now, we bring that same Shaolin energy back to Bharat, sharing not just martial arts but lessons in focus and cultivation. From China to the Philippines, our path is all about learning and sharing.
My Work
Martial Arts Training - We teach Shaolin Kung Fu Delhi, Taiji, Sanda kickboxing training, Boxing, Qigong, and self-defense including knife defense techniques.
Skill Over Show - It's not about fancy moves. We believe in mastering basics - repetition is the mother of skill.
