Boxing Fundamentals Training
I teach boxing with the discipline of a Shaolin Warrior Disciple. Learn proper stance, precision, and footwork, moving from basics to power.
This is from the first lesson of my online boxing series. I teach the fundamentals of the jab, including correct stance, guard, and the 'in-out' footwork essential for balance and movement.
In lesson two of the boxing series, we build on the jab by adding the cross punch. I explain the key detail of lifting the back heel to generate power through your whole body for an effective jab-cross combo.
Lesson three focuses on integrating footwork with combinations. Here, I demonstrate the 'step and slide' technique while practicing jab-cross sequences, which is crucial for maintaining distance and creating angles.
About Boxing Fundamentals
In my classes, we do not rush into heavy sparring. You will spend time perfecting the basics, like lifting your back heel during a cross punch to generate power, or mastering the 'step and slide' footwork until it becomes instinct. My focus is on biomechanical precision. Whether you are in the studio or following my online series, we drill these movements until they are correct.
The Shaolin Approach to Boxing
Martial skill is built on a foundation of repetition. My boxing fundamentals training in Shahpur Jat, Delhi, follows the same principle I learned at the Shaolin Temple: 'The mother of skill is repetition.'
We break down boxing into distinct, manageable parts:
- Stance & Guard: We start with the basics—chin down, look up, and keeping your body weight centered. A proper guard is the first line of defense.
- Punch Mechanics: From the jab to the cross, every punch requires a specific movement. If your back heel stays flat, you lose power. I will correct your form until your body understands the rotation.
- Footwork: You cannot land a punch if you cannot move into range. We drill the 'step and slide' daily, ensuring you maintain balance while creating angles for attack.
Why Train With Me
I mix traditional Shaolin concepts with Western boxing and Sanda (Chinese Kickboxing). You are not just learning to throw hands; you are learning how to use your whole body as a weapon. This training is open to everyone—beginners, women, men, and achievers—who has the will to learn.
Classes are held in a focused environment with matted floors for safety. If you are serious about building real skills rather than just getting a workout, this is the path to take.
Find the right training for you.
