About My Shaolin Lineage & Journey
Learning martial arts requires more than physical effort; it demands a connection to an authentic lineage. At my school in Shahpur Jat, we do not focus on trends or fancy movements. We strip everything back to the basics—stance, balance, and breath—because those are the foundations that hold up under pressure. When you walk through our doors, you are not just signing up for a fitness class, but starting a long-term practice of self-mastery.
The Root of the Practice
My journey began at the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, China, where I trained as a 34th Generation Disciple. This was not a hobby; it was a way of life. The environment there—from the Dharma Hole to the ancient training halls—shaped my understanding of what it means to truly practice. I brought this same discipline back to Delhi, creating a space where the focus is on the transmission of authentic skills rather than performative moves.
Why Lineage Matters
In the modern era of fitness, many martial arts programs emphasize aesthetics over capability. My approach is different. Whether you are learning Taiji, Sanda kickboxing, or self-defense, the methodology remains the same: step-by-step instruction. We break down every movement—from the shift of your body weight to the rotation of your hip—because the small details are where the real power is generated.
Practical Self-Defense and Skill Acquisition
My training in the Philippines further expanded my perspective on close-quarter combat. You will find that our sessions on knife defense and Filipino stick fighting (Dacayana Eskrima) are rooted in practical application, not theory. We drill until your reactions are automatic. We do not just teach you how to punch; we teach you how to maintain your guard, look up, and execute with precision. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned practitioner, my classes are designed to help you get fit with skill, one repetition at a time.
