About Yoga for Kids
In our studio sessions, I use props like yoga blocks and straps to help children safely explore their flexibility. I personally provide hands-on assistance during poses like standing splits or backbends, ensuring every child develops strength and proper alignment without any strain.
Yoga is about more than just fitness for children. It is about building a foundation of health that lasts a lifetime. At Aura Yog Centre, located in Shalimar Bagh and Punjabi Bagh, I structure our kids' classes to mix foundational Hatha Yoga with play-based movements that keep them engaged.
Why Yoga for Kids?
Modern life keeps children sedentary, often hunched over books or screens. Our sessions focus on:
- Posture Correction: Counteracting the 'tech neck' and slouching through spine-strengthening asanas.
- Concentration & Calm: Using pranayama (breathwork) to help children manage stress and improve focus for their studies.
- Body Awareness: Learning how to move, balance, and stretch safely.
Our Approach
We believe in a non-competitive, supportive environment. Classes are kept to small groups of 10 to 15 students, which allows me to give individual attention to every child. We incorporate games and partner stretches that teach them to work together and build trust. Whether your child is looking to increase their athletic flexibility or simply needs a break from academics, these sessions provide a space to grow physically and mentally. We create a 'swasth shareer' (healthy body) while keeping the mood light and, most importantly, fun. Har Har Mahadev.

Namaskar, I am Karuna Ahuja. I started Aura Yog Centre to share the health that yoga gave me, and I love seeing children discover that same energy. In our kids' batches, we move beyond just exercise to create a space where your child feels strong, focused, and truly joyful.
