Energizing Group Yoga Classes in Shalimar Bagh
Find your balance and energy in our supportive group yoga community. We blend Hatha, Vinyasa, and Power Yoga to help you stay stress-free, strong, and flexible.
A snapshot of our group class working on Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), a foundational pose for building strength and flexibility throughout the body. I ensure proper alignment for everyone.
In our group classes, we focus on specific goals like weight loss through dynamic asanas and core strengthening exercises. You will feel the energy and leave feeling stronger.
Here we focus on core work and leg strength. A strong core is the foundation of a healthy body, helping with balance, stability, and reducing back pain.
Students practice Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose) using the wall for support. This is a great way to learn the alignment for balancing poses and open the hips safely.
The Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose) series is a staple in our classes for building stamina and strength in the legs and shoulders. I guide the class to hold the pose and focus on their breath.
This sequence shows a dynamic flow, moving from leg raises for the lower back and glutes to wall-supported exercises. We keep the energy moving in class.
This clip shows a focus on hip-opening and leg-strengthening exercises, essential for improving flexibility and relieving tension in the lower body.
Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend) is an excellent stretch for the entire back of the body. In our classes, we work on gradually increasing flexibility in this pose.
Using straps for Supta Padangusthasana (Reclining Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose) allows everyone to get a deep hamstring stretch regardless of their current flexibility.
Students practice Dhanurasana (Bow Pose), a powerful backbend that strengthens the back muscles and opens the chest and shoulders.
About Group Classes: Energy & Community
In our studio sessions, you are never just a face in the crowd. We limit batches to 10-15 people, so I can personally adjust your alignment as we transition between Hatha for basics and Power Yoga flows. Whether you are using a block to deepen a stretch or focusing on breathing through a difficult pose, you have the space and guidance to practice safely, surrounded by others on the same journey.
Building Strength Together
My group classes at Aura Yog Centre are designed for those who find motivation in community. When you practice alongside others, the energy in the room shifts. It becomes easier to hold that extra breath in a pose or push through a challenging flow when everyone is moving in sync. We follow the principle of 'Karo yog, raho nirog' (do yoga, stay healthy), keeping the atmosphere positive, encouraging, and free of judgment.
What to Expect
We cover a complete range of movement to support your daily life:
- Hatha Yoga Basics: We start here to build stability and understand the foundation of each asana.
- Power Yoga & Vinyasa: To build heat, stamina, and work on weight management, we move into dynamic flows where we inhale to rise and exhale to deepen.
- Prop-Assisted Learning: Using yoga blocks, straps, and wheels makes advanced poses accessible. You do not need to be flexible to start; you just need to show up.
Why Practice in a Group?
Many students come to me with back pain, cervical issues, or high stress. In a private setting, we address specific ailments, but in these group classes, we focus on overall physical and mental vitality. The 60-minute sessions are crafted to reduce stiffness from sitting at desks all day, improve your posture, and clear the mental clutter that accumulates through the week. We practice 5 days a week, which helps build a consistent habit—the key to real transformation. Har Har Mahadev.
