About Yoga Classes
Aikia Yogashala isn’t about chasing Insta-worthy poses or showing up just for International Yoga Day. मेरे यहाँ, yoga is an everyday discipline, a yatra (journey) you take with yourself, not just a trend. If you’re looking for real change—not just a new photo for your feed—you’ll probably vibe here.
What Makes Us Different
- Yoga for every body: sab ke liye (for everyone), whether you’re a complete newbie, senior, mom-to-be, or a corporate worker stiff from the desk.
- Classes are purposely small. You’ll get the kind of personal attention that actually helps you grow, not just follow along.
- This is a holistic yoga practice—beyond just asanas. Expect breathwork, deep relaxation, and even some meditation.
- We connect you with traditional Indian yoga philosophy but in a way that speaks to your busy, modern life. No lectures, just real talk.
What Happens in a Session
- Warm-ups and intention setting—maybe a mantra, maybe just a breath.
- Asanas with proper alignment and props if you need them; we’ll work around knee pain or any other limits.
- Pranayama to calm your mind and boost energy.
- Always end with Shavasana for deep restoration (not just lying down, haan!).
- Meditation techniques like Trataka (candle gazing) or Antar Mauna (inner silence) to help you focus and chill out.
Our Approach
We guide, but we’re also on this journey. You’ll get both discipline and warmth—no grim faces, promise. Join us if you want more than just a workout. This is where you actually get to have a conversation with yourself and be part of a supportive community.

My Story
Namaste, we are Aikia Yogashala. Our journey started with Namita leaving her IT life for something deeper - dharma, family, and connection. Every year, we pack our bags for a simple yatra to Puri, no fancy hotels, just sattvic food and stories. Our anchor is Lord Jagannath. Students join us, some new, some old, all seeking. We chant, we share, we grow. This is not just a studio - it’s our family. Jai Jagannath!
