Authentic 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course
This is not just a certification; it is an immersive four-month journey into the heart of yoga. Whether you want to teach or simply deepen your personal practice, we guide you with discipline, ancient wisdom, and hands-on mentorship.
Meet our founders, Surya Krishna Ji and Namita Ji. With over 25 years of combined experience, they lead our TTC, blending deep knowledge of advanced asanas, therapeutic yoga, and spiritual philosophy to guide the next generation of teachers.
Our gurus, Shilpa Ji and Sudarshan Ji, bring specialized expertise to our TTC. They cover essential topics like anatomy, the science of mudras, and the practical application of scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras in daily life.
A glimpse into our Teacher Training Course, where students learn to connect breath and movement in unison. Here, the class practices Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), a foundational pose for building strength and awareness.
In our TTC, we focus on foundational postures like Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend). This helps future teachers understand how to guide students in releasing tension from the spine and hamstrings safely and effectively.
The Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward-Facing Dog) is a key part of the vinyasa flow. Our TTC students practice this heart-opening pose to build upper body strength and learn the correct alignment to protect the lower back.
Real guidance is safe, strong, and supportive. This is a look into our teacher training, where we focus on hands-on adjustments for advanced poses like wall-supported handstands, ensuring future teachers can guide their students with confidence.
Our TTC is a comprehensive experience. This collage shows various elements of the training, from hands-on adjustments in Sirsasana (Headstand) and pranayama practice to group asana sessions, embodying the holistic nature of our curriculum.
About this collection
Don't expect a quick certificate here. Our 300-hour program is intentionally structured over four months because true knowledge requires abhyas, or consistent practice. We don't just teach you how to do a pose; we teach you the anatomy, the alignment cues, and the verbal adjustments needed to safely guide others through complex asanas like Bakasana. You will be held accountable, and you will be expected to show up, regardless of whether you feel like it.
Beyond the Certificate
Most teacher training courses are transactional. You pay, you attend a weekend, you get a piece of paper. At Aikia Yogashala in HSR Layout, we operate differently. This is a 300-hour, comprehensive course designed for those who want to understand the 'why' behind the movement.
The Curriculum
Our training focuses on the foundational pillars of yoga, moving well beyond physical exercise:
- Advanced Asana & Alignment: Learn the mechanics of Hatha and Vinyasa, incorporating Iyengar-style props to ensure safety and accessibility for all body types.
- Anatomy & Physiology: Understand what happens inside the body during a pose. This is crucial for preventing injuries and offering modifications to your future students.
- Philosophy & Scriptural Study: We integrate the Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras, and the study of the subtle body into daily life. Yoga is a lifestyle, not just an hour on the mat.
- Pranayama & Meditation: Master the art of breath control and silent contemplation. You cannot teach what you have not experienced yourself.
Why Mentorship Matters
Yoga is a lineage-based practice. You learn by being a student, observing your teachers, and receiving direct corrections. Our small batch sizes ensure that Surya Krsna, Namita, and our team of instructors provide the personalized attention you need. We don't just lecture; we practice with you. You will be guided through hands-on adjustments, learn how to sequence a class that flows with purpose, and discover how to hold space for others.
This training is demanding. It requires dedication, but it also rewards you with a deep, unbreakable foundation in the science of yoga. If you are ready to be a student first, we are ready to help you become a guide.
Aikia Yogashala
At Aikia, we aren't about quick certifications; we are about lineage and integrity. Surya, Namita, and our team of gurus act as mentors, helping you build your own discipline before you try to teach it to anyone else. If you are ready to be a student first, we are here to guide you.
