We believe pregnancy is a team effort. That is why our labor management classes are not just for the mother. We involve partners in every session, teaching you both how to use props like stability balls and wall ropes to manage pain, improve pelvic mobility, and create a supportive environment for the big day. It is practical, hands-on, and focused on building a connection that lasts long after birth.
Pregnancy changes everything, but it does not mean you have to stop moving or stop connecting with yourself. At Aikia Yogashala in HSR Layout, our prenatal and postnatal programs are built on the principles of stability and ease. We avoid generic gym-style prenatal classes. Instead, we use a traditional Hatha and Vinyasa blend modified with Iyengar-style alignment to ensure safety for both mother and baby.
What to expect in our sessions:
- Labor Preparation: We move beyond simple stretches. You will learn specific positions using birthing balls, chairs, and wall ropes to create space in the pelvis and alleviate back pain.
- Partner Involvement: Our classes are designed to bring partners into the process. Whether it is learning how to provide physical support during a contraction or using massage to relieve tension, we make sure the partner is an active participant.
- Meditation and Breath: We use techniques like Trataka (candle gazing) and focused Pranayama to lower stress levels. A calm mind is the best foundation for a calm labor.
- Postnatal Recovery: Post-birth, we focus on gentle restorative movements to help the body heal, rebuild core strength, and manage the demands of new parenthood.
