Beyond the daily classes, this is a look into the heart of our shala. From artistic interpretations of our asanas to the quiet reality of our practice, here is what Aikia Yogashala looks like when we just breathe and be.

If Aikia were a Ghibli film... a whimsical illustration of two yogis in Sirsasana, where breath flows like wind and the mat is a portal to inner peace.

An artistic rendering of Natarajasana in the gentle, soulful style of Studio Ghibli, capturing the magic and grace of the pose.

Another beautiful Ghibli-inspired illustration, this time of Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana, blending the art of yoga with the art of animation.

A serene, Ghibli-style depiction of Pincha Mayurasana (Feathered Peacock Pose), showcasing the quiet strength and focus required for the inversion.

"Oh yeah! This is normal too." A student casually holds Sirsasana, showcasing that with dedication, extraordinary poses become part of the everyday practice at Aikia.

"Yes this is normal." A senior student demonstrates incredible strength in an arm balance on blocks, proving that age is no barrier to advanced practice at our shala.

"And this too." Students rest in Supta Virasana, a deep restorative pose that is just as important as the more dynamic asanas in our holistic practice.

"A normal day at Aikia Yogashala." A student holds Hanumanasana (the splits) with ease, a testament to the flexibility and strength built through consistent practice.

"Way too normal for Aikians." A student in a deep forward bend demonstrates the high level of practice that becomes the norm within our dedicated community.

Asana of the Day: Veerabhadra I Asana (Warrior I). This pose symbolizes the victory of awareness over distraction, channeling the strength of the warrior within you.

About Additional Moments & Art

The Ghibli-inspired illustrations, along with the raw, unedited photos of our students, represent the duality of our practice. We value the imagination and beauty that yoga brings to life, but we ground it firmly in the discipline of daily, consistent effort. You will notice we do not use mirrors or air conditioning. We use wooden props and traditional alignment because that is how you actually learn to own your body, rather than imitating a pose for a screen.
