Behind the Scenes & My Yoga Journey

Yoga is a way of life, not just a workout. Here is a glimpse into my world off the mat—from motherhood to the daily rituals that keep me grounded.

After a day of shooting tutorials for my YouTube channel, this is what I'm most excited for: hugs with my daughter, Jia. These quiet moments are what recharge my soul.

Quiet moments reading a book with my dog, Shifu. I believe in sharing the knowledge and realizations I gain, because you never know who is seeking those answers. We are all connected.

Some New Year affirmations that I practice with. "I am in the process of becoming the best version of myself. I am in peace with my past, because it shaped me. My potential is limitless."

A behind-the-scenes look at filming a yoga tutorial. You can see my setup with the camera and the chakra art on my wall. My life these days has so much peace within it.

Announcing a special event for International Yoga Day. I was thrilled to be invited to the Sun Siyam Resort in the Maldives to conduct sunrise and sunset yoga sessions. It's a joy to connect with the community in such beautiful places.

A moment of self-practice outdoors. Every day counts when you are working to shape yourself. Consistency is the key to progress.

A beautiful black and white photo with my daughter. Motherhood is a journey of nurturing and supportive feminine energy. I cherish these precious moments.

About this collection

People often assume yoga is about nailing a complex pose or spending hours on the mat. For me, especially after having Jia, the reality is quite different. It’s about those 10-minute sessions on days when life feels chaotic, the discipline of keeping my speech clean, and setting boundaries to protect my energy. My practice has shifted from a rigid workout to a lifeline that helps me stay present—something I document here so you know you do not have to be perfect to be a yogi.

After 10 years of practice and the life-changing experience of becoming a mother, my definition of yoga has completely evolved. It is not just about the physical asanas; it is about what I call the "Rebirth"—learning how to listen to my body all over again.

In this series, I share the reality of postpartum recovery, from the struggle of regaining core strength to the quiet joy of finding my way back to the mat. You will see the side of yoga people rarely talk about: the days I am tired, the moments I choose rest over intensity, and how I use mindful eating and daily affirmations to stay consistent rather than just intense.

My goal is to show you that your journey is yours alone. Whether you are battling PCOD, struggling with weight, or just trying to navigate the "new normal" of motherhood, I teach from the lens of someone who has walked that path. It is not about following a strict routine that feels like a burden; it is about making small, sustainable choices every day.

I share these glimpses of my life—reading with Shifu, practicing with my daughter, or teaching during my travels—because we are all connected. Your struggle is my struggle, and if my realizations can offer you a shortcut or a moment of peace, then that is the real magic. I believe in sharing knowledge because you never know who is seeking the exact answers you have found.
